Here's a pic of my stand up desk with my Thunderbolt Display and rMBP.
It looks really nice. Would you please let me know what is your monitor arm (desk mount)?
Thanks.

I'll bite. It isn't much, but it gets the job done:

We were looking at a desk from Ikea but ended up getting this cheap but pretty good looking desk from Office Depot for $200. My favorite part is how the keyboard/mouse drawer folds down in the front - so it hides the keyboard, trackpad, Logitech controller, and additional mouse I have in there.

Sure! I haven't figured out how to handle all the cables but figure I can do that with time.
Actually currently, on the left I have a late 2012 imac, so the cinema display looks fat compared to it. But I've ordered a nMP so soon the imac will be replaced by a TB display anyway...
But the Table (blueloungs studiodesk xl) is really nice, since it allows to hide all the cables. I don't have the drobo anymore, but a pegasus r6 in the cupboard on the left.
I have noticed a few people on this thread mention about the fans on there MBAs ramping up when plugged into a Thunderbolt Display. Any of you 15" rMBP owners shed some light on how loud it is in clamshell mode please. I'm hoping to get a Thunderbolt Display soon for mine but don't want any noisy fans as I have my desk in the living room. Thanks I'm loving some of the set ups in this thread.

The fans on my 15" rMBP don't run louder than normal in clamshell mode unless I'm gaming in Windows.
I too have my desk in the living room and it isn't an issue. In fact I have recently been keeping my rMBP open - even when using the Thunderbolt display - because I like having the additional desktop when needed and I feel like it dissipates the heat a little better - though I don't know for sure. I just turn the brightness down all the way on the laptop screen when I'm not using it.
I like the contrast of your perfectly tidy desk and that kind of messy hall in the background.![]()
Are you getting good frame rates running native resolution in the Thunderbolt Display? and do you have the 650M or 750M?
Yes, I don't know the exact frame rates (if you are referring to gaming in Windows) but the games are very playable and smooth. Also I have a 650m running at stock speeds.

really nice desk. one of my favorites that people have posted. I have a glass desk now and I hate it with a passion. its draws dirt quickly and smudges almost like a mirror. if you put your bare arm on it or hands it leaves a mark. Id like to pick up the same desk you have here or an ikea cheap white desk to replace it.
