Funny, I set the display to 2560x1440 and it is cut off. I posted a question in the MBP forum and hoping that someone enlightens me to getting it set to full resolution.

I did close the MBP while connected and it went to full resolution. Now, this is what I'm looking at. I have a little more research to go in order to fill up the real estate. It's amazing how the larger display chances everything.

Flo arm

Hey ChunkAhoy,

are/were using the Flo Arm or Flo Plus?

I recently got the envelop desk and have concerns about mounting the TB display on the desk due to the 20lbs Flo arm limitation. The flo plus can handle more weight but I don't know if they make a low clamp for that arm.

Much appreciated,
Zan

I just installed my new Thunderbolt display. What do you think? :D

it might be because you have the laptop and the external display set to mirror. If you set it so one is a primary and one is a secondary they should each have independent resolutions. also when you choose to change display settings two windows will open one on each screen. you need to change them on each screen for what the resolution for that display should be.

I'm just curious what that thing is on your bluetooth keyboard where the battery cover goes.

Thanks

For those with dual thunderbolt displays, how far are you sitting from them? I have duals but find that it is too wide and the text is too small for the distance i need to set them so that they may fit on my desk.

I'm using dual 27" displays (well, 27" iMac + 27" display). I have them 27" from me and slanted in. They're pretty much perfect for me right there. I've actually been pondering a third one

Still one of my favorite threads to follow. I love seeing everyones awesome setups. Very hopeful for a ATD refresh this WWDC to see this thread revived with some new hotness.

New setup, with my just purchased Cinema Displays. Moved from a Single 24'' Dell, to these two, liking it so far. Weirdly enjoying the decreased pixel height.
