Show us your Thunderbolt/Cinema Display setup!

Aside from throwing the occasional bone like the LONG overdue Mac Pro, they're more concerned with making content-consuming toys than content production tools.

That seriously is a real shame.
I'm disappointed that I may have to purchase a non-Apple display

(thanks for your reply)

Heres my setup...

My setup

Here's mine—a basement setup. Overall, I'm very happy with it, but I'm envious of the many other workspaces on show here that have windows in close proximity.

I know this was posted more than a month ago but that's a really nice setup, it would be great if we could see some more of it.

Here's a quick pic of my standup desk, part of a complete office renovation. More pics to come.

Here's my new setup, finally finished everything after 2nd tb display arrived today
My cat Murmel loves the new toys

It's not true that the nice look of the machine has to be spoiled by tons of cables and external devices lying all around.
Storage attached to my nMP is:

1x Promise Pegasus R6 12TB Thunderbolt
1x Drobo 5D 5 TB Thunderbolt
2x Lacie 4 TB USB 3
1x WD Mybook 3 TB Usb 3

I have the raids stored away in a cabinet and the usb hard drives hidden inside the desk. It can be opened up on the top and all the cables go in through a little slit as you might be able to see on one of the pictures.
The Mac Pro cables go behind the back of the desk, and then inside it through a whole on the bottom, or directly to the raids, led on the backside of the table's leg. From inside the desk, I distribute them to a usb 3 hub, to the hdds, and to the TB displays.

It doesn't have to be a cluttered mess, you just need to put some love in the setup.
I also have the whole desk sitting directly opposed to a window. As you can see, the reflections on the TB displays are not too bad.
I'm very happy :cool::apple:

Minor update.
Since it has not been possible to fit an articulating arm to my budget I decided to build something my self. Obviously no height movement possible, but does the job on freeing desktop space. Thinking a way to hide my air from the desk too..

where did you get this desk. it looks comfortable (but expensive). also where did you manage to buy that monitor arm. I went to their website and tried to buy there but they didnt have it. checked all the sites that they said sold their products and none of them had it. very frustrating

I ordered the desk through a local Steelcase dealer. It's called the Steelcase Airtouch. The desk is great but as you guessed expensive… $1500 before tax here in Canada. Can you really put a price tag on your health though? ;)

The monitor arm is the Steelcase CF1000. It's hard to tell from the Steelcase website if they still sell it. From the pdf: "CF1000 supports monitors weighing 12−29 lbs.". That was one of the only arms I found that supported the weight of the Thunderbolt Display.

I hope this helps.

I envy this setup, and the cat pic is really nice. Nice shallow focus. Great Len.
