The windows version has more graphics settings such as shadows, anti-analising etc. A patch is probably going to be released AGAIN for mac. Transgaming testers suck.

Please I would like to know how it runs on the 13" MBP.
As I have not bought yet, and wonder does it run well on 2.26 / 2.53 Ghz, and should I go 4gb Ram or 2gb.

*EDIT* I know it works on the 13 MBP, just to clarify I want to know how well it runs, and whether getting the better specs are worth it if this is going to be the only gaming i do really, and apart from that its mostly internet browsing, spotify music, etc

i have a MBP that's just about 2 years old... meaning it has lower specs in every department... and Sims 3 runs PERFECTLY fine without any noticeable/annoying lag on medium graphics settings.
you shouldn't worry at all about it.

i went ahead and installed this game on my new macbook pro (2.53GHz, 4 GB ram, nvidia 9400m). I have everything on low settings, except for texture and sim detail which are on medium. I also have object hiding on. I get a solid 45-50 FPS when I am home alone. It goes anywhere from 20-40 fps when I go around town depending on the amount of trees/people. It is definitely playable, although I wish it ran a little better considering the settings I have it set on. it hasn't crashed on me in game yet, although it did freeze up once for a minute or so before letting me play again.
