People should read up on all the risk as well then decide for yourself. But besides the data transfer. There have been many reports this is buggy and messed up a few phones. Making it at least difficult to restore.

I installed it. I did a remove and was able to reinstall without issue. I'm just waiting for the server to come back up. Also if I use the server I would use it with sensitive data i don't want anyone else to see.

wow ppl and their scare tactics. Same crap when another certain software I will not came out. The servers will be up you just have to give them time... they are getting better servers. Don't listen to these ppl that say they are getting information because all it is BS...All was said about another such app when it first came out. Instead of Devs and other ppl trying to spread false crap again how about just saying it's ILLEGAL and we don't approve and leave as that. Centsy covered the info about SMS, contacts, ect. Glad to see we have intelligent ppl here that knows how to spot bull.

Like Centsy said, they only have access to whatever goes through Siri.

For example, if you ask siri to read an email then the server will see that. It will not have access to any other emails. The same applies to your contacts.

That said they could possibly retrieve more information through malicious server side plugins. That's the issue with going through a public server, you have no idea who is looking at all that information and what plugins they are running.

Personally i would stay away from this CD-TEAM because on their website they claim to design rootkits for iphones. These are not trustworthy developers.

BTW you don't have to delete H1siri, its the same as every other Siri GUI. There is only one file you have to edit to cut the server connection.

It is located in /var/mobile/library/preferences

The file is named "com.apple.assistant.plist"

Just edit the "hostname".

In case someone is still patiently waiting for the server to come up... It won't. This guy's (who kept the server) iPhone 4S authentication tokens are blacklisted.

Siri's server asks for 4 authentication codes (of which one expires every 24 hours and 3 stay constant) and if you don't have them, you don't have a connection. But the chinese guy thought he had solved it and simply hosted a server that forwarded all the requests to Apple with his auth tokens.

But he cheered too early... Because if Apple sees that there's a massive amount of requests with the same authentication token, they will simply blacklist it. Kinda sucks for him, because he won't be able to use Siri ever again on his 4S.

So, in other words, it's not possible to have a fully working and connecting Siri at the moment. The server host would need a new 4S every time Apple blacklists the codes. You can still use Siri on iPhone 4 if you can get your hands on a 4S every 24 hours. But that kinda defeats the purpose...
