Siri is officially out of beta now, so that's probably one of the reasons that it's faster and can handle more requests. I don't believe it has much to do with the iOS version.

I've got to say, Siri on iOS 7 (GM, not beta) is really blowing me away. So long as I have a stable connection, it responds almost instantly, and it really does just work. I don't know what Apple's done, but it definitely deserves a round of applause. I've been using Siri for a long time, but even I had to admit its short comings now and then. Now, though, it just feels really rock solid and reliable!

I've been very dissapointed. It can rarely understand me and what used to be a useful feature for setting reminders and pinging quick messages whilst in the car has now become a useless feature that I won't use again.

For the record I live in the South, UK. Have as English an accent as you can have. So it's not that...

why the crap can't Siri read the text off a web page or web search yet? Or the content of my email? You know the reader button that pops up when you're on a site that has a large body of text.... Why can't Siri just read that, and any iBooks purchase, without speak select... I'd rather that than cinema times.

Sigh

I'm from Cheshire but have been living in Ontario Canada for a while. I have Siri US in the settings and it understands me really well.

i'm still on ios 6.01 and siri is heaps faster, clearer and more useful to me as well. Maybe they just fixed their servers and it has nothing to do with ios7?
Yep. I think the response time you get is almost all based on the server's response time, and nothing really in the OS or the phone itself.
