Sketchy Report Says Apple Car is Years Ahead of Schedule, Will Debut Next Year

I assume, that the car comes without charger and cable. And Timmy will ask for another 10Grand. But hopefully we will see it in rose gold😅 What about Magsafe?👀😂😱

Thats the future...when level 4 and 5 autonom will arrive you will be driven by your car and you stay relax and using the 1000 touch displays,,but for now it will come with steering wheel..and since the new cars almost has no buttons already...

But i believe more that the AR glasses to debut next year and not a car since we have no leaks of one single car component and since Apple doesnt have its own factory assemble that is hard to keep car pieces away from leaks
 
I’m not buying it. Maybe an Apple Scooter or an Apple Bike.... I don’t believe the car hype. An Apple Car won’t help the environment.

funny though, if Ford decided to make a smart phone apple fanboys would be rolling in the streets with laughter. But when apples decides to build a car it’s the next best thing since sliced bread.

Sorry but I was always skeptical. Cars aren’t the future. Getting people out of them is the future.

I agree with you. I don’t think it’s ever been about a ‘car’, I think it’s about the software development that they will produce for other manufacturers.

As of this rumor, I’d say it’s completely bogus in the least.

I wouldn't hold ones breath. I think 'Apple Car' is actually a ride share service. You pay a monthly fee for access to self-driving cars (A car on demand more or less. And maybe choices on size and distance you need o go). I really don't think Apple wants to sell cars to people ala Tesla. It will roll out slowly from urban areas where they make the most sense and cities that are mapped the best. That's the only think that I can imagine Apple doing...but what the hell do I know...

Self-disinfecting?

Unless they are, I think launching them while Covid-19 is still around would not be a good idea.

Of course, taxis are not a good idea either, rather a necessary evil, for some.
 
I can see Apple partnering with a major manufacturer, but to make a car from scratch is a big call, and too far from their core business model.

Having said that, if they do, I would probably be first in line.

If there is something like an electric VW Apple Golf, with specific styling and runs on Apple software I would be all over it.

There is no Apple Car. A car requires very big manufacturing plan with thousand of employees. The battery plant also needs to be very big. Even if many components are sourced from third party manufacturers, Apple would still need an enormous assembling plan. You CANT hide something like that from public eyes. Even if Apple starts to build its manufacturing plant after showing the car, it would take minimum 2 years to finish it and start assembling assuming that they already have the land and the permits to build with the excavators ready to start digging. If you put another 6 months for testing, certifications around the world, training of new personnel, you go to 3 years for the first production car, being optimistic. It is easy to design a prototype, and very different to scale a large production. Just ask Elon. Even if Apple has unlimited cash, it cant manufacture a whole car in secret without us seeing leaks of parts and schematics years in advance.

Can Apple release a car with a typical Apple price?
My guess is that they must be competitive with Tesla in order to get any interest.

Just like real cars. You want the high end speakers? Comes in a package with more expensive rims and parking assistant. I don’t need the other stuff!
 
Honestly I don't see Apple in anyway involved with any AI self driving.
You only have to look at what Google, for example has done with deep learning and AI in any areas, then look at all or Apple's products or other developments and think how Apple is not known for anything in this area.
All they are known for is being worse than others. (Siri)
If they were leading everyone else, then sure, this may seem more believable.
