Ok continue crying lol.

"For extended periods" ya okay. You need to USE the phone for a few days.

So just buy the latest iPod touch if you need the latest 4" display.

How many times do I have to say it. Phones over 4 inches are not for everyone. I do not want a phone I can't use 1 handed. Unless you think that buy using the iPhone 6 for a few days will shrink the display so I can use it 1 handed, its a stupid suggestion.

I've tried android based 4.5-5 inch phones for extended test periods and I hated the size. End of story.

An iPod touch is not a substitute for na iPhone and the iPod touch 5 is A5 based outdated.

Nothing wrong with giving the consumers the choice to choose a 4 inch phone with the latest specs.

So glad I got an iPhone 6+! I had my reservations at first coming from a Galaxy Note 3 and years of various Android devices, but this is the best smartphone on the market. The battery life is incredible. Best on any device period!

I lot of the people like the 75mil accounted for the 6/6+ sales? U do realize that the 6/6+ is best ever selling iPhone for Apple right? So I don't think u and the lot of people u know is going change apples direction to go back to a 4" screen anytime soon. Anyway I hope they do for yours and the lot of people u know sake.

I don't want Apple to abandon bigger sized screens. I want Apple to add a 4 inch iPhone 6 model to their lineup. This is hardly going 'Backwards'.

Macromours yesterday reported that more people are buying the iPhone 5S than the iPhone 6+ so that is a lot of people who are continuing to choose to buy 4 inch screens. 42 percent of buyers are buying the 5S or 5C, which is far higher than the sales makeup of the two older iPhones have been in the past (EG 4S and 5C when the 5S came out, 4 and 4S when the 5 came out).

Obviously I am not Apple, and I don't have any real stats on true market demand for a 4" device, but I would think this would be a decent option, if true.

The real question for me would be regarding specs and price point. Apple decided that the larger device was worth a $100 premium. Will this be cheaper than the 6? Same? Perhaps they would make the entry level a 64GB and charge the same as the entry level 16GB 6? What would they call this phone? 6C?

That chapter, along with many others, is being ripped out & used as toilet paper.
Don't you see it everyday? This, the AppleWatch & iPadMini are but three of the latest examples ....

Yeah Apple should only sell one size iPad and miss out on the small tablet market. Smart business.

I wouldn't be terribly fast to assume screen size is the driving factor. They're the least expensive iPhones on the market by a fairly large margin, especially when comparing them to the price of a 6+... you're saving $300 , easily. That's quite a chunk of change.

At the same time I am not saying you're wrong. Screen size, I am sure, is a factor for some. I am just thinking cost is more of the driving factor. I could be wrong. :)

I use my 3GS for music streaming around the house. Whenever I pick it up I always say to my gf that this iPhone is the perfect size. It's rounded corners is perfect for my pocket and it feels more comfortable in my hand than any other iPhone I've ever owned:D;)

Give it the same features as the 6 other than the giant screen and sell it at the same price, people will buy it.

So u think that a lot of people bought the 6/6+ just for the features and not the the screen real estate? If so You are sadly mistaken. Because the best selling point of the 6/6+ is the bigger screen. Ask the people who migrated from android. The only thing the iPhone was missing is the bigger screen. Biggest phone for Apple ever and most record breaking sales ever for the iPhone. Really don't know what u guys are going to do, because the 6/6+ is obviously the way forward for Apple now for the iPhone. Wouldnt u go with what is more profitable for u? I am sure most would, I know I would. So why would we bash apple for going for the bigger screen. Since having my iPhone 2g back in the day I have come to realized that technology will never stay the same for to long. and I have prepare my self for this Change as we move forward into the future. Who would have known that phones would be what there are today. We came a long way from the the flip phones to using them to pay at the register, A mean just saying.

In most parts of the world a lot of people use there phones for more than just making or taking calls. There are used for TV's, booking flights, gaming, just about every thing u name it. And a phone with a bigger screen gives u a more delightful experience for doing these these things and more.

My guess would be that 4 inch screens are a partial factor, as the pricing between the 6 and the 5S and 5C is not too different to the 5S to the 5C and the 4S last year. I could be wrong though.

Even though of like larger phones I would not mind the 4s with current 6 specs. I have a tablet now so a 3.5 iphone would not be bad. It's still my favorite iPhone in terms of style. However if I need internet a lot while out I would likely go with the 6 plus.

Well that's not surprising 5s would be a great buy for most peole considering the price u can get one at $99 dollars on contract. Which is a lot cheaper that the 6/6+ a mean the 5s is still a great device.

Good to be true. I have returned the iPhone 6 & bought 5s instead to replace my 4s after 2 days use. That's really too big and not necessary that I already have ipad mini with me.

And so was the 5C when the 5S came out, and the 4S when the 5 came out.... Yet they did not sell nearly as well...

Don't contradict me. Not when my belly is full of Nathan's hotdogs with mustard,
a large order of Nathan's fries, French cheesecake, ice cold milk to wash it down with,
and a long pull on a fresh, tightly packed tube of tobacco manufactured by Marlboro ....

Oh the contrary. I was simply presenting the only logical response to such a conundrum. Whilst you feast before slumber, consider the cause and effect of such a statement. Your absurd arrangement of delectables entices me to garner some Junior's cheesecake and cigars de Cuba. They refresh the soul and loosen the waste.

that is so sexist and demeaning i am so mad everybody protest!!! .... :)

Misguided at the least. I'm a guy, but I'll definitely hold off upgrading my five until they come out with a new 4 incher. I held a 6 the other day for a few minutes and it's just too big. I'd love to see a new 4" phone that has the same design as it's bigger siblings, and I think they will. I think the three size strategy is pretty obvious for both the iPhone and iPad at this point.

5s is the best size for my life.

Its a great tool that is maximum size for comfortable fit in my pocket.

Next time I get a phone I hope I can get a 4" with same specs as newest phone at the time.
I would pay same/similar price as that of the 'latest'.

I hope so. Still on the 5s. New phone will be Android if I don't have an Apple option.

What android phone are u going to get that is 4inchs ? Because I didn't know they have 4" smartphones. And good luck with android come back and let us know how that work out for you.

Low cost Iphone

Apple needs to build low cost iPhone for the poor masses in the third world.
Take a huge bite out of that market segment.

Yes. The 3G body might not be the most stylish looking, but its form factor is so comfortable to hold and keep in my pocket (particularly male jeans front pocket).

But the 5C is an excellent alternative. I think it looks better than the old 3G chassis (if only it had black and dark color options), is equally comfortable to hold, and is almost as well suited to my pocket.

The 4/5 chassis looks beautifully luxurious. Easily the most visually appealing iPhone form factor. But it's the least comfortable to hold; almost painfully sharp. And it doesn't fit the leg/pocket well.

The new 6 form factor, because of the back, is ugly. Worse looking than everything after the 3GS. The curves make it comfortable to hold like the 5C, but the size prevents it from fitting the pocket well.

A lot of people in the third world countries wouldnt be able to afford an low cost iPhone are any smart phone for that matter, because they all require data to work like they should. And u got to pay for the monthly bill including a data plan. Now if it's a regular cell phone that would be more affordable for most of them.

No it is not. I can not securely hold the iPhone 6 with my hand and read the top of the screen and the home button at the same time. Double tapping the touch ID is just annoying, and you can't get notifications centre down. Its even worse when the phone is in a case.

A 4 inch phone would be great for those of us who would like a one handed use phone. Still not sure why people have an objection to this. If there was a 4,4.7 and 5.5 inch iPhone 6S, everyone would be happy. My choice to buy a 4 inch phone would not impact on your enjoyment of the larger phones.
