Have a gelaskin on order as well as an Incipio smart feather. I hope they work together.
Why both :S?

I'm currently just using a smart cover, I'm worried about letting the back touch anything. I will be buying a Gelaskins possibly.. Depends what I think of the STM Skinny when it arrives.

I used a Clear-Coat on the first gen iPad, but I've been Smart Cover-only, with the iPad 2 & new, with a neoprene netbook sleeve when out and about.

Whoa. Talk about a 50-50 split!

No skin, but I have a smart cover & ordered a wallet to keep it in while not in use. When in use I generally have the smart cover folded behind protecting the back from whatever in on the table, but I worry about stuff in my backpack scratching it... hence order for wallet. Some inexpensive ones on Amazon, this is the one I ordered: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007BSPRYS

Smart Cover for the front. £35.

Smart Cover compatible gel case for the back. £1.95.

Using a Targus Vucomplete - mainly because I could get it on the same day as I got my iPad (there were only 3 or 4 back covers to choose from, from what seems to be the only place in the city centre that cells iPad covers, and took the only one that had a clear back). It's definitely decent and I do like the fact that it's clear, however it's definitely prone to scratches...

Belkin Snap Shield on back, Smart Cover on front. I also put a strip of scotch tape where the hinges go because they tend to scratch the aluminum.

Is that an iPad 2 Snap Shield? I saw them in Target today, but wasn't sure if they fit or not?

I got one at Target today (my store had the ones with the metal strip to hold the Smart Cover and the ones without for $20) and it fits my new iPad just fine!

Never used anything on the back and it's never been a problem. Just a smart cover here for the entire life of my iPad 2 and I have no plans to change that for the iPad 3.

No, no skin. I use a hard plastic back. I'd rather it get a knock or something than the metal.

I'm looking into the Belkin Snap Shield with the metal strip. Did you settle for that one? If so, would you recommend it?

Yeah - it seems to fit well and I liked the $20 price tag (not sure if I'd spend $35 on it) - obviously, I've only had it for about two days, but it has a good rubbery/plastic texture, doesn't seem to affect the operation of the iPad, doesn't really take away from the aesthetic. As far as things go now, I'm pretty happy with it.
