Damn, this is actually a good idea and it's being marketed perfectly.

One more reason to hate this guy, aside from snagging Miranda Kerr. Life's not fair. :(

Is it April again already? Worst of all, there's probably some people out there somewhere who will wear these and care not that they look like a ridiculous extra from 1960's Doctor Who.

Great idea, now you get to be that @-hole at a BBQ walking around with a camera strapped to your face making everyone uncomfortable. But i guess if youre a billionaire with a supermodel wife you can get away with it.

Apple Watch, AirPods, and now glasses. The future is wireless, RIP iPhone battery life
You are correct in that wireless is the future, but it is coming in a slow roll intentionally. This way, battery technology will improve as wireless improves, meaning the battery capacity and efficiency will increase as the core technologies (the iPhone or iPad for example) adopt more wireless methods. This means that we should not see significant reductions in battery life as wireless is adopted.

If, however, wireless was embraced in one large sweep, then *that* is what would cause battery life reductions.

So you enjoy jail? I hope so since that's right where you'd go for assault, battery and destruction of property

You would wear a pair of these glasses and risk being shot in America. Good luck with that.

I live in a country which is free and not a police state like America. We truly have freedom of speech.

I didn't think it could possibly get any dumber than Google Glass, and yet here we are!

Funny you think glass isn't the future when you have everyone having to pull out their phones while driving, eating and pretty much doing any sort of activity. With glass everything is hands free. 5 years from now everyone will be wearing them. If you think glass is dumb I'm curious about your thoughts on the (pointless)iwatch

People are poo pooing it, but it looks like a bit of a fun product for people, let people have their fun!

I don't really use snapchat, but I can see the use cases for these. They're less a 'livestream your life' thing and more of a throw them on for a music festival or event and not have your phone up recording every other minute. I can see people being into that. A lot of y'all sound like you've never been to a music festival, concert, or party. These would literally be nowhere near the stupidest thing people wear or do at those. I also can't help but think they could have made them more discreet/appealing.

These are far more unobtrusive than Google Glass so are sure to be used by a lot of snoopers, paedos, voyeurs and the like.
I predict that it won't be long before some parent catches someone filming his kids with these and takes the law into their own hands.
Then public places everywhere will ban them 'for the sake of the children'.
Didn't Snapchat not stop and think of the consequences of putting this thing out there? Wait until the lawsuits hit them and they won't last very long.
A bad idea from the outset.

My only issue with this is...

I really don't want to wear glasses all the time. I mean, I guess I wouldn't have to wear them all the time. It would be kind of cool for concerts, but at the same time, I would hate to loose them or have them fall off while jumping around listening to music. Good idea, I just have never thought people would want to wear glasses. I mean, look at Google Glass.

I personally don't use Snapchat. Most of my friends do, I just dont see the need to be tied into another social network, but putting that aside, even if these were for Twitter, I don't think I would be vey interested in them.

This is actually better than google glass regarding design. Although its functionality is terribly limiting.
