Vertical videos are the worst. If my wife takes them I delete them without looking at them. They are the worst. Turn the dang camera people. Real vision has dramatically more lateral vision than vertical.
Do you feel the same way about vertical photographs? If not: why not? Must video/photography be a representation of reality? Or can it be a selection ? Eg cinema verité?

Plus this will cause problems with some people who don't want to be recorded.

Cameras are everywhere ... on public transit, in public transit stations, on car dashboards, on bike helmets, in taxis, security cameras everywhere, smartphones with cameras, and you're worried about these glasses?

People are accustomed to - and understand the need for - security cameras in public transit etc.
But many do not want to be filmed and recorded while having a chat over coffee - by the person they're chatting with.

Wow, that's not very attractive at all. I like the concept, like Google Glass, but making it work practically, and fashionably is the hardest part. I even doubt my 14 year old nice would want to use and wear these things.

Usually you looka at photos on device or print them. You don't look at videos on vertical screen except on phone

At least people over 30 will not buy it. Wonder if the young 20s crowd would want one? I don't think teenagers will see it as cool.

Apart from that, rich geek getting the model and she is the older one. I wonder how that will end up. BTW I don't think she is a supermodel, just a victoria secret model.

I'm assuming it's in 3d with two cameras and two mics

It's amazing how many products & technologies that are coming out where lots of people absolutely hate them but yet there exists another group of people that will love it. Interesting time to observe where we're heading. I think these things are ridiculous. 1. Why are they ugly? 2. Why only 10 seconds?

Simple ... tell your friend to turn the damned thing off.
No, not so simple.
The higher quality camera-glasses available are already not identifiable as cameras, you don't know you're being filmed. Hence their widespread use in undercover investigative journalism.
The future will probably bring smart contact lenses.
It will be an interesting future when we are aware of potentially being filmed all the time, not just in public spaces, but also in every conceivable social situation. Good luck telling everybody around you to "turn the damned things off".
How about couples wearing smart contact lenses, filming each other during sex without telling each other, eg for blackmailing or uploading?

Nice, sort of like "arsehole merit badges" except you wear them on your face so everyone can ID you more easily as an arsehole.

I'll buy a pair or 2 if they come preloaded with a short video of being in bed with Miranda Kerr.
