OMG! I got so excited about this update! Sort of when a "one more thing" happens. I think it's because of shipping charges or DVD material charges. I know, I know that 10 bucks seem expensive but as the guy above, it's Apple. Anyway, it's not THAT expensive. Just my 0.02 cents.

$10 isn't much.

And AFAIK, there has never been a two-hundredths-of-a-cent piece of currency.

"OS X Snow Leopard is slated for a September release and will cost $29 for current OS X Leopard owners. Users purchasing a new Mac on June 8th, 2009 or later can receive the updated operating system for $9.95 though Apple's "Up to Date" program."

I just noticed this. Interesting that the "Up to Date" program still requires payment. Whereas, DELL and other manufacturers are offering free upgrades to Win 7 for new PC buyers.

That fee probably just covers the "free" shipping cost. Either that, or Apple is pulling another iPod-touch-software-update-fee trick.

here are two, dont know if they are new. one is called prowl...

**edit**** beat me to it...

here is one that is interesting... not sure if it is new, as i never paid much attention to screen savers and desktop images...

A question to all of the folks using SL, do videos still play when they're minimized into the dock? It was one of my favorite features in Tiger, and I was kinda disappointed when it was taken out in Leopard, anyone know if it's back?

Figured i might mention that I have NEVER had SL stability issues. The only time my 'Pro sees a reboot is when the next build is seeded

gripes, that is a large scrolled out photo!

Is this new? I was looking under system preferences, and there is now a tutorial vid when you click on track pad. 2 finger gesture. I never noticed that before....but then again i use a mouse.

interesting that Windows 7 went RTM (Release to Manufacturing), which I think is the equivalent of Apple's Gold Master, two days ago, yet will be released a month after Snow Leopard (which isn't Gold Master yet). goes to show that doing everything in-house (hardware + software) allows you to get products to market faster. Microsoft has to share Windows 7 with many third parties first...

I don't know why you like this, it's probably the dumbest feature I've ever seen (in fact that's what I thought when I first saw it...)

Why would you want that??? You're obviously not going to watch the video at 63x63px so what's the point of it playing?
