OMG OMG!

The Quicktime icon has changed!

Sir, You are a Bozo for posting a screen shot that has your hotmail address showing. On top of that, you have bad taste for using Windows Live. Jeeezz...

<knock> <knock>

Its the software police...

May I be the first to say, it looks absolutely disgusting. Seriously, the old icon looks way more modern then this roadkill. Honestly whoever has been designing all the UI elements for the OS in the last few years needs to go. First iTunes, then Leopard, then all these horrid icons... ugh.

I think is looks absolutely beautiful and MUCH more modern than the current one. A great improvement. From an artistic standpoint it makes snese. The blue reminisienct of the older quicktime logos and the aluminum finish reflects apple's recent design. It's an evolution, I think.

if someone sends me the screensavers via email, i'll put the high res copies on my server... kufford at gmail.com

gripes, that is a large scrolled out photo!

Is this new? I was looking under system preferences, and there is now a tutorial vid when you click on track pad. 2 finger gesture. I never noticed that before....but then again i use a mouse.

Well it's not new to the Unibody machines, as mine has it (10.5.7).

That's in Leopard as well. All multi-touch equipped Macs have it.

I don't know why you like this, it's probably the dumbest feature I've ever seen (in fact that's what I thought when I first saw it...)

Why would you want that??? You're obviously not going to watch the video at 63x63px so what's the point of it playing?

The biggest reason I loved the feature is when I use my EyeTV. There's a feature in it that mutes the sound when the window is minimized, so if I was watching something I could just minimize it during the commercials and still be able to see when the show was back on.

I'm not saying its all that useful for everyone, but your comment still doesn't answer my question, is it back or not?

lmao... so true...

Surprised they still have yet to standardize the scroll bars (iTunes style vs the ugly bubble/aqua/whateveritscalled).

You forget its a beta and that apple does not want to put everything in the beta so it all leaks out... I bet apple has a few things up their sleeve for when it goes GM

I don't suppose it's too relevant, but with the new FCS and Logic Studio supporting only Intel, PPC may be gone within a few months of SL's release.

You are entitled to you opinion; mine is just the opposite by 180 degrees.

LOL, that made me laugh and on top of that, show that you use 'Transmission'!

"NO! Honestly Officer, I don't download illegal files off the internet!"

;-)

Ok... thanks... I wonder what else is new.... When do you think iTunes, iWork '09, and iLife '09 will go 64-Bit

iTunes on Windows already has a 64-bit version, so SL should have it in five seeds, I think.

iWork and iLife will be 64-bit when the '10 packages come out.

I don't doubt it. I'm sure we'll get a new Finder icon, or something earth shattering...

Joking aside, I don't mind the current Leopard UI. I'd prefer some little changes like standardizing the scroll bars, maybe a new status/loading bar (current one looks like a 10 year old made it imo), etc.
