Why Target? I went to an Apple Store Sunday morning and got a matte black Plus easy peasy.

Eastiest/fastest I ever got a Plus. I posted about it and some folks said screw their preorder, hopped down to Apple and got a Plus.

Target would be my last choice, probably easier at Best Buy as well.
Around Nashville our stores have nothing but Rose Gold 7+ and only the 32GB models, not all Apple stores are equally as easy.

I was in my local Target this afternoon to pick up some things and asked for the heck of it if they had any 7+'s in stock. Surprisingly they had some Silver 256g 7+'s in stock. Good to know. I'm holding out for black.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long.. Black for me is a boring iPhone color. I had one in the past, it just wasn't me. I've been getting silver ever since. I'll never get a black one again, but that's just me. Now if they had the black back and white front, that would be cool.

So you can use the Target app to check you local target for stock. Just tried it and one of my local target had a silver 256g in stock. If it wasn't for the white face (I hate how big it makes the bezels look ) I'd be on my way there now.

And this is noteworthy because of...?

Dude why are people on this site so damn uptight?

I,for one, am extremely grateful for this thread as I have been trying everywhere to get my gf her 7+ . Apple store, ATT store, BB, Frys, nothing. Not a single color in any size, anywhere.

Then I saw this thread and went to target where they had every color except JB. I guess Target is the secret spot right now. The online locator on target.com works if anyone is looking for them.

3 people came in looking for the exact config I got, so I guess I had the last one, so a big thanks again to the OP. Also, if the posts don't pertain to you, I'm not really sure why it's even necessary to reply (like a jerk).

out of curiosity I searched our local stores almost in the same manner just hoping to find a 7+ in black, no luck but stock is trickling in according to one best buy store so who knows, keep checking in...on launch day most of the places I went to including at&t corporate store said they had maybe one or two 7+ so camping out would have been a waste of time

There isn't a single target within a 60 mile radius that has the 7+ in stock in my area. At least that's what it shows online.

No dumb questions....just dumb people who would rather be a smart ass than move along

I have a friend trying to find that model so I'll definitely give him a heads up to check target! Thanks

If anyone is guilty of name-calling, it's you two (you and Crackerjacktoy). Look back thru this thread and point out where I called anyone a name or said they were dumb.

All I said was that is it was not noteworthy that both blacks were hard to find at many places.

Easy, Killer. The original point of this thread was to voice my disappointment that I experienced when I saw some guy at Target buying a matte black 7+ and I was just looking for some empathy on here. Lol

That's the weird thing. I checked the store inventory online an hour before I went in and they said they had zero inventory of 7+'s. I was there for toilet paper and cheese-its. I just asked for the heck of it. I think the best bet is to call the store and ask for the electronics dept. You can get through in about 30 sec.

The problem with Target is that you have to buy the phone from a Target Mobile worker which in my case is from the hours of 1pm to 8pm. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Electronics department workers don't sell phone or know anything about inventory. A 7plus is available but online reservation is not an option. Have to wait until tomorrow at 1pm to see if I can buy it

Target.com inventory seems not consistent with mobile app. I guess I'll call my local store's mobile dept. to double check.

This post is noteworthy while your reply is purely a waste of people's time

We should start to see a few in the wild but it will be pure luck at this point. Not even worth reporting because inventory will be unpredictable for many weeks.

Suck it up buttercup, Knowing Target has them is actually very noteworthy to people looking for them being that some do not have the luxury of an Apple store near by to reserve one or like here having two stores but they are not getting the black ones in.

Easy, they do not like being called out apparently.

Didn't even think of checking with Target, so I called a few local Target stores and I had NO idea they did pre-orders IN store.

The first store I called has the exact iPhone 7 + I am looking for (256gb Black for AT&T) but its "on hold for a preorder" and cannot be sold. WTF is that? Someone pre-ordered it but never got it yet, but they can't sell it.

The Apple Store an hour from me had black plus in 128/256 thru the weekend. They didn't have any yesterday or today. Luckily I'm a man who likes the silver and white front haha. When I was there some lady walked out with 42 iPhones. 2 limited per purchase. She made 21 purchases. Can't imagine how much money she had.
