I can report that this worked! He asked for a network, and I said AT&T as I have access to an account, and could use it to activate the phone if necessary. He didn't need any of my info, or even verify that I was an AT&T customer. The Target mobile rep sold me the device outright. I then popped in my t-mobile sim, and everything is working great! The back of the box says CDMA, so I'm assuming it is unlocked to work on any carrier like verizon, tmobile, sprint, or att. Hope this helps someone searching for a phone.

Anyone looking to buy a 7+ should go the easy route by using the reserve and pickup function. I've been able to buy two phones (one for wife) on separate days very easily. Just check each morning and when it's there, make a reservation time for pickup. You can pay however you want, full price or even IUP. Lmk if anyone doesn't have the link for this.
Well it was still there on Tuesday and there was no other place in Oklahoma with any 7+ in stock so I caved and got it. While I was there going through the process of adding it to my plan they got 4 calls from people wanting it and 3 others walked in looking for it.
Going through Target am I able to do the device payment plan that Verizon offers?

It depends on the store, apparently. I was unable to, others have posted that they did.
So i woke up with morning and checked on Brickseek. It showed 4 stores in my area got 1 Black 128gb 7+ each. I cancelled my Sprint order and took off. I showed up at 11:40am as they started at 12pm and the employee was clocking in. He was surprised that i asked him to check. He looked and he saw they had one. He told me it wasn't even logged into the system for sale yet.

where i live they dont even have one on display to show, they only have the old model and its locked in a metal drawer or something ..while all others like samsung,nexus,huawei are on display,i guess apple product is still a luxury product they need to hide.
