I’ve been using my iPhone 12 Pro Max without a case for the last few years and it’s been terrific. It also took an incredibly hard fall on aggregate and only suffered a hairline scratch to the screen (which I could feel with my finger, but could only see in reflective light) and a dinged up stainless steel frame. Considering its age and severity of the fall, I was astonished the screen held up so well.

I would love to use the iPhone without a case.
But despite being careful with my phone, so far I have dropped each and every one that I owned in the last ten years.
I am just that clumsy.
It is just a question of when not if.
So a case it is for me, unfortunately.

That’s only true if you don’t drop it.
And it breaks. I’ve dropped my 13 Pro quite a few times on concrete and tarmac, it survived all of them until it didn’t, so I’ve had one express replacement under AC.

My point is though that the phone usually do survive, not the other way around as seems to be the story here (from people who never went caseless?). They are tougher than one thinks.

My 15PM will of course never see a case or a screen protector, but I’ll get AC+.

I feel the same way. My wife has a screen protector and it feels and looks off. My teenage daughter also has a screen protector - her screen still cracked. I have never used a screen protector and never had any scratches or cracks, plus it feels better.
For me, I like a screen protector mainly for the new feel. I change mine up every couple of months. Hate when the oleophobic starts to wear off and the smudges start to stick.

Is anyone putting on a dbrand sticker? I'm thinking of getting a nice orange colour for mine, still in 2 minds about it though.

I love dBrands. I have one on my iPad. I love that it provides a little bit of scratch protection and grip while working with the Magic Keyboard and Pencil. I purchased a Pitaka case that was supposed to work with both. But my pencil is in a sleeve and wouldn’t charge with the case on. So went with the dBrand.

Sounds like the perfect use case for AppleCare!

I rock my 14 Pro without a case and have AC+ on it. I have dropped it once and shattered the back glass completely. $99 later, I got a new refurbished 14 Pro and sent my damaged one back. Looking at the frame of the phone, I do see some scratches on the SS edges, but that doesn’t bother as it‘s not impacting the screen.

If I do get the 15 Pro, I would also rock it naked.

I've always had a case on my phones, but depending on how the 15 Pro feels in my hand, I may try going without and getting AC+ instead. We'll see.

i have always used some type of tempered glass and there were two times where those glasses shattered. I don't know if without it, my screen would of shattered but it's worth the piece of mind.

I might go naked for alittle bit and then give it some clothes.

I‘ve used my iPhones completely naked since the 3G.
So yeah, I will continue to go caseless and screenprotectorless with the 15 Pro Max

I am going caseless on my iPhone 15 Pro. The natural titanium frame looks amazing and would be a shame to hide it in a case.

I read somewhere that Ti is tougher when it comes to resisting dings and dents, but it scratches easier.... However that has not been the case with my AW Ultra.. I have scraped against walls and banged in to things numerous times and the watch is as new as the day I got it... I even scraped some paint off a wall with the watch once... the wall was scraped but the paint came right off the watch and it was like new. I was shocked. My previous series 6 Stainless steel on the other hand was full of scratches.

I am strongly considering going caseless but with a screen protector on.

Logic: if the chassis scratches, you can always put a case on it later to cover it up.

Resale value may go down though, but maybe that's ok. I plan to keep for the next 2 years at least or maybe even beyond.

No case and AppleCare, and a case for when I’m anywhere that I might need the extra protection.

I honestly don't see the point in ordering Natural Titanium if you're going to put it in a case, unless it's a clear one.

The whole idea of the colour is to reflect the bare metal (even if it does have a finish). If you're just going to hide it with a case the only part on show as usual will be the camera bump which is just an off-white/light gold colour so hard to compliment with a case which hides the Natural Titanium aspect.

I always use a screen protector (no case), because as tough as the glass on these screen is... it still gets small scratches just from being in your pocket (some might say it's just the coating scratching, but end result is the same - ugly)
I used to run with no screen protector, then around the iPhone 8 I noticed it scratches super easily.
