Realised I was old the other day. Was helping down at the local school and had to set up some chairs and there were a bunch of 14/15 year olds and I said
"lads can you just sit up and arrange those seats so the face the same way as the ones on this side"..... A pretty simple request....

They got up. They just moved to other seats and sat down :mad:

I blew my lid and said "Yeah great!! Thanks a f***in bunch", and they looked at me like :confused::confused::confused::confused:

Ignorant little feckers :p:D and I even thought to myself... "bloody kids these days' :D
 
GFLPraxis, i had a GameBoy for a while and their good but the psp is better to me because you can put music on the PSP's MS and listen to it, share photos between psp's and get on the internet. theres more than that but im not dising the DS and 2D games.
 
You can do all that with an M3!

Does anyone actually use a PSP (or DS) for music, or even send pictures around?
 
I've got my iPhoto library synced to my iPod though. But then there's no second thought put into copying the right pics across!

I'd love the PSP to have a 360-like functionality of playing MP3s in games. GTA requires you to use a special app and some other games just have god awful music.

That would be pretty darn awesome but don't some games (like WipeOut) have such features?

BTW, have you bought Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles yet? You can never go wrong with portable Rondo of Blood AND Symphony of The Night.

A GameBoy? That's not a DS. The DS has lots of 3D games.

Also, who cares about the rest? The PSP can't fit enough media to be extremely useful as a media player, and I'm buying a system to play games. The DS has good games.
 
The sort of awesome thing is you can buy an 8gb PSP memory stick ex alpha duo plus, or an 8gb iPod Nano for the same price :D
Or at least the price from the Sony Centre yesterday.

But that's more a rant than a story. The 4gb card I bought off eBay is as naff as hell. Playing FF7 last night and the thing crapped out on me!
 
I custom firmware my phat PSP and I downloaded Silent Hill 1 on the thing and I felt like I was 19 years old again playing it for the first time..The game is beautiful on the system now I'll try to get RE1 on the thing.

I was surprised at how well it works too, all the problems of old TV connectors and even old TV's just fly out the window. FF7 looks beautiful and I can't wait to get onto Abe's Odyssey and Rayman again. The latter should look superb.
 
I know but you still can't put music on a DS and a psp has a larger screen than a iPod will ever have plus an ipod has a HDD which equals shorter battery life.

Im a sony fan, i hate microsoft the nickel and dime for everything you have, just like the format war i hope that Blu-Ray wins and HD DVD loses

And i dont' need much storage so i have a 1GB stick for my PSP
 
Microsoft doesn't make the DS though...

Also, several iPods are flash-based, which extends battery life, and all the iPods have longer battery lives then the PSP anyhow.

Haha, this guy is golden!

Does he honestly think the iPod battery life is short? Isn't it banging on 20 hours for video? Opposed to the lovely max of 5 hours on the PSP (still have to get it beyond that short of sticking the CPU to 111mhz). Even my last gen iPod gets 8 hours video and stores 10x the amount of Sony's biggest memory card for the PSP :)

And if you missed my post - you CAN put music on a DS. It's called the M3 Adapter and lets you run homebrew, music and videos (and eBooks) using a memory card that's worlds cheaper and more widely available than Sony's format :)
 
I'm curious; if you have an iPod, a DS, and a PSP why would one go through the hassle of downloading, getting special adaptors and whatever else is needed to get music onto the PSP and DS? I mean, wouldn't it just be easier to stick with the iPod?

Seems like more trouble than it's worth to me, but then again I don't do any homebrew stuff. Is that the reason, or is it more for the pleasure of rising to the challenge?

Larger screen than an iPod will ever have? Who gives a crap? My iPod Touch is less than a quarter of an inch smaller, and it's got a touch screen. My DS, when screen area is put together, is bigger- and has more inventive, ingenuitive, and fun to play games. Hear me, games like Yoshi Touch and Go, Warioware Touched, and others. Admittedly older ones, but... Not all iPods have HDD and short life. For example our buddies, the Classic and the older 5G iPod, had marginally better life than the PSP. And you can put music on the DS, but it's no better than music on the PSP.

Sony tried to do TOO much with the PSP and failed most things. You simply can't be all in one, with that intent. (iPod Touch is incredible, for not trying to perfect anything outside of Music, Video, and Internet, but managing games quite well)

To put it on your level:

iPodz pwn teh PSP, adn Ds cna play musak too. Teyh boht haev better life.

Consider yourself PWNT!
 
Wow..when you guys beat down you really beat down. I don't use my PSP or DS for music...never have and never will...my ipod is for that. PSP is for games as I see it...I don't even use it for movies(maybe I should though)

Music:
ipod>>>>>>>everything else

Handheld Games
DS>PSP>>>>>>everything else

I actually thought watching a film on a PSP was a nice experience so long as you have somewhere to put it.

The iPod may have a HDD, but it also has a bigger battery, and surprise surprise, it actually lasts a lot longer!

See, if you actually used it for anything more than a novelty, you'd realize why it's not so good as a multimedia device.

Anyone who buys a PSP as a media device is kidding themselves. It's a gaming device.
 
Well Tomb Raider Anniversary is a very feature filled looking game! I'm just onto level 2 now and it plays so smoothly compared to the old games. Really loving this.
Eternia is just beautiful. I "do" RPG's at night so I haven't gone into this beyond the first few minutes.
VCS looks so much better than LCS, the addition of AA is welcomed!
FF Tactics will have to wait too.

I think I signed up to PSN as well. I'm not entirely sure what happened.
 
Yes but the 1 GB stick held my whole I, Robot moive and still had 100 songs on it

and raggedjimmi (sorry if i didn't spell your name right) you have a 320 GB ipod because the max size for the MS is 32Gb

VCS is a good game, i have both of them, but next im looking to get a PS3
