The nice thing about this years gold color is the back of the phone is a more subtle gold color rather then the same as the sides. Gives variation in what you see without overloading on the same finish.

Have you seen them in hand? This Gold is light on the back but that band is really Gold and good looking!
I use to be a Silver guy for years, but since it’s so shiny doesn't that mean it will be the first to not be so shiny after handling it so much? That’s what I was afraid of this year!

Your instincts and your taste is correct. I currently have the 12 pro in gold that I will be exchanging for the promax and let me tell you girl, it is awesome. All the girls gave me compliments today on it and deservedly so. It looks so rich
Went with Silver on the 12Pro, which I returned. Will be getting graphite or pacific blue this time.
I always go silver. This will go in a case and get traded in next year for the 13.

I think it is interesting why someone would tell people that they feel sorry for their choice of color. I don’t choose a color based on anyone’s validation. I choose a color based on what I like. I think all the colors look sharp this year. I really like the contrast of polished and matte finishes. I have gone for silver in past years and wanted something a little different. That is why I chose the Pacific blue.
Well weight is definitely perceivable. My girlfriend upgraded from an 11 Pro to a 12 pro and the weight felt like night and day. As far as the size of the Max, just do what I did. Go to Bestbuy or Walmart and hold a case for the Pro Max. They've had them in store for a couple days now.

Pacific Blue. I looked at all of the 12 Pros at the Apple Store, and they all look great, but I like the blue the best.

Same here, was on the fence about getting pacific blue, but after seeing it in store it looks blue instead of charcoal like the midnight green color from last year.
Now if apple would hurry up and show us what colors they are releasing for the leather cases, don’t understand why they don’t put them up on their website like the other cases that say coming soon. 🥺
