So what exactly does being "hipster" mean

What I still dont understand is why these hardcore and ultra competitive gamers think apple owners are sheeple or hipsters for upgrading tech annually when they themselves upgrade pc video cards for for the same amount of money (many cost even $500 and ipad owners csn trade in the first model) every 6 months (so twice as often)? On top of that these nerds are the true sheeple because they dont have time or play pc games much they just want their pc to be the best and fastest..

Here's why:
Only Windows OS has Direct X.

Which is why a lot of games that hardcore gamers want to play, don't run on Mac OS. Like, Battlefield 3.

Even though Apple devices are pretty damn good, they don't make games like Battlefield 3 for Macs.

We can however play some games like CoD 4, and even though developers are making new games for Apple devices, Windows has the latest games currently.

That is the sole reason they call us hipsters. Not because of what we wear or what device we use, but for the fact that Apple devices don't have games like Batflefield 3 and CoD: MW3 and others.

P.S.: The term hipster seems to have changed meaning over the years. Teens of age 13-16 use it based on devices. Which is plain wrong and stupid.

Also being part of the crowd that can play the latest game is cool, and a trend. So some of the kids who call us hipsters are just trying to fit in with the crowd.
