32 GB iPad Air Wifi-version.

I already had a small tablet (nexus 7) and I'd tried the non-retina mini and found the fonts a bit too small but I thought the form factor was brilliant so when the iPad Air came out I finally got to try my first iPad :)

I originally got the 16 GB version but I wanted to be able to keep this device for a while so I went up to 32GB during black friday so I could get the extra storage as cheap as possible.

And wifi only because I tether with my phone (for free since i'm on T-mobile) and I don't want to pay extra for another device.

After a slightly bumpy start I can happily say I am over-all very satisfied with my purchase.

32 GB iPad rmini LTE Verizon model

I don't keep many pictures, so I probably didn't really need more than 16 GB, but wanted to be safe. I love the mini form factor; I carry it with me in my suit pocket and it never gets in the way. I get lost easily, and use GPS all the time; maps are much nicer on the larger screen than on a phone.

None because both the 7.9" and 9.7" are too small and iOS is too limiting compared to OSX. My idea of an ideal compact travel computer would be a two pound 12" retina Macbook Air with cellular internet connectivity.

32GB ATT version. I was going to go with 64GB and wifi only but decided on the cellular model this time. Cell data is like an insurance policy. You hate paying for it but when you need you NEED it. ATT has some interesting options for datalans too that are felixible. The LTE speeds I get are ridiculously fast which is nice. Also has the GPS chip so we have a companion for road trips.

Wifi is available most places but the connections can be shady and if you need passwords that's a pain in the rear. Cell data is so much easier if the wifi is dodgy.

I purchased the VZW LTE 32gb Air, after returning the Mini Retina. I really wanted to like the Mini, but in the end it just was too small for my needs.

bought the mini for ease of one handed carrying for work, I'm at up to 5 locations each day.

Also so I could mount it for my GPS/Music on the road.

Send a link for your mount please . It looks interesting to me.
But to answer the question of this thread, I bought the rMini but my wife got the Air. Were both happy with our decisions

i have the iPad 4 because i wanted retina, actually thought i was getting the third generation when i bought it but ended up with the 4th. got a deal on it as well

then i bought my retina mini because i wanted to read on it... haven't read a book and now i only use my 4 on the couch.

...

... rMini 32GB wifi.

iPhone screen was too small for the basic things I want to do (read, game, etc.)

Now that I have this, I can keep my iPhone 5 for the duration of my contract and/or slightly beyond if I want a 6s at that point.

It's fine for my uses.

Got a 32 gb Verizon rmini first as a birthday gift to myself. I wanted the portability and I loved it.

Then I went in here and saw a user selling a 128 gb cellular iPad air for a great price with ac+. So now I have both. The air stays home. My family loves it. The mini goes with me.

My first iPad was the 2 then I got the 3 which I regretted due to its performance, albeit I loved the screen. Then I skipped the 4 and got the Air which I regretted again due to constant Safari and mail crashing. So I returned that to Apple and kept using the 3.

If I didn't become such an Apple fanboy I would never buy another iPad again. However I'm weak so my plan is to buy the next iPad in its 16gb form (I use cloud storage and stream then off load everything onto my iMac). I'm finding the iPad 4 to be quite temping right now at its price point especially refurb but I'm going to stay strong and wait it out.

I just got the iPad mini with Retina Display. I was actually split between the iPad Air and Retina Mini, and it was a tough decision! I liked the real estate of the Air, but I like the one-handedness of the Mini.

After going back and forth between the two iPads, I determined that I wanted the Mini. I just love the size of it, it's pretty much perfect for me. I enjoy typing in portrait mode comfortably, and I can also type fairly quickly in landscape orientation as well. I got the 16 GB, Space Gray, Wi-Fi model, I kind of wish I had gotten the cellular model though.

So What iPad did you Buy and Why?

I bought the ipad mini retina 16 wi-fi because the size and the price (1879 NIS = 530$).
NIS - New israeli shekel.

I first bought a new ‘Air’ because the ‘mini’ was not out for sale yet at the time. Also, Target had a special that included a discounted price PLUS 200 BUCKS FOR MY ORIGINAL VERSION 1 iPad. Downside only 16gb was available and that not my choice but I bought anyway.

A few weeks later when new ‘mini retina’ was released I bought a 32gb version for use by our autistic granddaughter. It’s been a GodSend!

Do NOT have cellular versions on either iPad but when on the road do ‘tether’ both as needed to our iPhone AT&T LTE connect.

Recommendation? mini or Air? Depends on the user. If I had to buy just one...I would pick the mini for form, size and weight.

I bought the rMini wifi-only 128GB in white because I wanted an iPad to read books on, watch movies, and play games while on the go. I didn't want the regular iPads or the Air because of the size, so when I found out that they had the rMini, I jumped on it. It's the best purchase I've made and I use it everyday when I'm out of the house.

I purchased an AT&T iPad Air 128GB model. Originally, I had an iPad 3, but the weight was an issue for me. I ended up switching to an iPad mini and it was great, but I missed the larger screen, as I stream a lot if video. When the Air was introduced, I thought it was a great combo of what I needed - bigger screen + reduced weight. And, the cellular option makes it the perfect device to take anywhere. I'm really happy with my iPad Air.

I sold my 16GB iPad 3 w/ LTE last summer in anticipation for the new iPad. Got the 32GB iPad Air the day it released. The morning the retina mini came out I ordered it and took the iPad Air back. Wasn't really happy with the rMini, so I sent it back as well. Just a few days ago I got a 32GB iPad 4 on Amazon. I wanted the 4 mainly because I had a decent amount of iPad cases from my 3 that would still fit. I actually enjoy the thicker bezel and additional weight. I always felt like the Air could break more easily, but it's a fantastic product all around.

Wanted lighter weight + more memory for photos so ordered a refurbished 64 gb iPad Air.

Have had good luck so far with refurbs - the savings are nice, too.

32gb Air, I had a rMini but it was a tad too small for movies/comics, but ideal for gaming so I made a switch to the Air. Gaming isn't as good since the device is larger and less comfortable to hold but I get a much bigger view port for movies/comics.

Also 32gb cause 16gb gets full so quickly after you get a few HD games and a few movies its done, generally sit at around 28gb with 4gb free. Price setup to 64bg is a bit much for something I wouldn't really utilise.

Also having a Nexus 5 and an iPad means I get to enjoy both iOS and Android which is always great,

I wanted the iPad Air with Cellular, but it wasn't available in my market, so I ended up with the regular 128GB one. At this point I see no point in making the change.

Maybe next time.

I got the 32GB WIFI Air after selling my still-under-warranty 32GB WIFI iPad4. I bought it principally because of the weight and slim profile. I also find myself using the Air a lot more than I did the iPad4.

I really do like the Air and thus far have not experienced any issues with 1GB of RAM, but then again, I use my Air for very specific and non-demanding, but essential, purposes. I have other devices for more demanding tasks.

64Gb iPad Air wifi. I used one a few months ago and really liked the feel of it. Bought the case with it. I'm looking forward to it's arrival! :)

I've got a 32GB rMini wifi-only and I can't wait for the next gens to arrive....

Not that I don't love my mini - in fact, I love it so much I can't stand having only 32GB and no LTE. I take it with me everywhere and use it for everything from school work, regular work (I'm in sales), movie watching, comic reading, textbooks, word docs, powerpoints, safari, social media, facetime etc....

Next time - go big or go home. 128GB LTE (still rMini). Worth the money and if it has TouchID, I'll be set for a while.

Then if I could just snag a 16GB 4th gen on the refurb store....those things are scarce! Saw one once but it got snatched up quick. At $339, its a killer deal.

I just bought an Air 128GB with AT&T LTE but going to trade it back in to AT&T under my 14 days for an iPad rMini 128GB with AT&T LTE just because of the size.

AT&T allowed me to return the iPad Air 128GB LTE for the rMini 128GB White LTE and I could not be happier. The Air is perfect but I always found myself using it without the case and it just was a little too big, so I decided to swap it for a rMini, love this thing, goes with me everywhere and rarely use my Mac anymore. I can not fit everything on the rMini, but I have just put on what I like and some of the Apps in HD are so much better on the Mini then on the iPhone.
