have a s8 and the battery sucks now, so moving into a U3.
I’m in a similar camp as my s8 dropped below 80%. Trying to decide between 42, 46 and ultra. Honestly, I think the ultra is sort of ugly, but I don’t want to worry about battery life. I do a lot of workouts and have found my s8 inadequate for a night run.

Upgrading from a S4 to a Titanium S11 42mm (Natural with Milanese loop.) Would prefer to order through Best Buy for some of the extra points on their CC but it's still listed as "Coming Soon." If it's not up by tomorrow morning with the iPhone preorders then I'll probably just go with the Apple Store.

yea I get that, and I like the slimmer of the normal s11 but I am thinking wont replace for another 3 years and the battery on the ultra would be better.

I bought the black S11 46mm with the braided Solo Loop. My current one, an S5 from 2019, is slowly failing. I've already had to disable the always-on display so the battery lasts at least a day. By the way, I'm getting €25 from Apple to trade in the old one—not much, but something.

Titanium Ultra 3 delivery is October.

Hoping it gets bumped up earlier for launch day...

Everything I’ve ordered, even the stuff that I ordered somewhat late. Seems to be coming or shipping by the 19th. I’m waiting for it to balloon out. lol I never expect it to come on time.

Figure this out:

iPhone 17 Air ordered 3 minutes after site opened this morning and got 9/25 delivery day.
Store pickups get 9/19 delivery....

Very weird for the opening of pre-orders on both my U3 because it's titanium color and 17 Air being delivered.

I ordered the black U3 with the ocean band. Through Apple for Apple financing and the Daily Cash.

2 blue iPhone 17pm(256 and 512)
1 silver 256 17pm

Through t-mobile. It was just a lot easier.

i overslept till 530 and got sept 25th as well for a 17 pro. on the "delivery selection" page it still said sept 19 for both home delivery and store pickup. when i got to the final checkout page, it said sept 25 for delivery. so i do wonder if the sept 19 date for in-store pickup was also a lie.

No, it seems based on the iphone thread that in store seems to have more robust inventory compared to delivery.

In store pickup are still seeing 9/19 dates.

Delivery are going into October.

Maybe Apple is pushing people to go back into the store instead of deliveries during the pandemic ?
Or could it be that Apple is saving money by pushing more inventory into stores by truck transport instead of paying every individual's express international shipments ?

I'm going from an S3 42mm to an S11 46mm in Space Grey. I had a Pebble Time from the Kickstarter and loved it but knew I'd end up with an Apple Watch eventually. While the Pebble kept working I put off the purchase (I loved the multi day battery life, originally 5 but latterly 3) but then about 9 months ago a friend gave me their old S3 (in return for some beers). Of course I knew this was what would tip me over so as soon as the store opened I was on it. Should be arriving on launch day :)

I’m glad you kept that Apple Watch Series 3 for so long. I kept my series 1 all the way for 8 years until that screen separated and the battery could not hold up.

Make sure to keep the straps so you can reuse them; any 42mm Apple Watch bands before late 2024 or prior to series 10 release should fit perfectly on the 46mm. That way you can make use of them that are still in good condition and build up your band collection.

Here’s a size chart I found from the trusty bandbreite app and on Reddit that should help you with the transition :

well, what’s funny is i just got an email saying that it’s now going to arrive on the 19th. so i guess in the end the first page was not a lie. it’s probably quite a coding challenge to update this stuff in real time with so much activity hitting the databases.

but yeah, it probably is cheaper for them to bring pallets worth into a store tho.
