What is everyone doing with their old Apple Watches? Putting them back in the box? Adding them to a keychain accessory for keeping time? Trading in? Giving to family member?

I'm loaning my Series 3 to a friend who is interested in getting and Apple Watch but I'm not sure how well she'll get on with wearing one. She's a wheelchair user and doesn't normally wear watches etc. but is very interested in the heart rate monitoring/ECG aspects (there is no ECG on Series 3 of course). If she gets on with it then I'm sure she'll pick up a refurb of an earlier generation.

My series 1 was old and busted; screen separated. After 8 years.

I got it recycled and got a discount on a strap at the Apple Store during the Earth day promo earlier this year.

Why Apple won't bump me up for launch day is ludicrous, considering I ordered it the minute the presentation was over and the apple store opened up....

Guess I'll have to wait since I will have the new Air to play with first....

Like you, I ordered the AirPod Pro 3 and the AWU3 as soon as the Apple Store reopened. The store must have been slammed instantly.

Ultra 3 Titanium, Bright Blue Trail loop.

it loses the Oxygen Saturation monitoring
No, it does not; it just works differently. The O2 sats are no longer reported on the Apple Watch but in the Health app on the iPhone. But there is a nifty workaround called "O2 Buddy". It records the O2 sat's in the App on the iPhone, and this app reports this to the Apple Watch App.

Cancel and go pick up in store, looks like there's plenty of stock for tomorrow.

I am looking forward to the AWU3. The Apple Watch has become an indispensable part of my electronic "kit". I don't see how you can have an iPhone without an Apple Watch to go with it.
Ofc it’s never complete if your Apple ecosystem doesn’t have an Apple Watch ⌚️!

You can also unlock your iPhone or Mac with your Apple Watch and do many things that your iPhone does on your wrist!

Got my Series 11, 46mm, Space Grey.

the strap isn't irritating my skin so far so that's good.

compared to my Series 9 it feels a bit bigger and a little more comfortable.

the space grey is beautiful. i don't like the glossy jet black and silver is too boring. in the photos online there didn't seem to be much a difference between silver/space grey but in person the space grey looks really nice.

the "Neon" Yellow strap isn't as vibrant as i expected but i still like it.

yep, but for some reason the o2 sat still does not show up in “vitals” which is weird. reportedly it’s still like that in ios26/watchos26. must be some fine point of the patent?

Was about to say that…

I noticed that in videos when Apple put it back.

And even though wrist temperature can be checked on the iPhone only, it’s visible on the vitals app. That’s weird
