Finally, time to retire my Apple Watch 4 Nike Edition (no more WatchOS Updates and horrible Battery life)
Ultra 3 Black with Titanium Milanese, it is, if tracking is correct, it arrive next week
Ya, same dude, I also came off and retired my AW4 SS, served me well all those years, now I am wearing my AWU3 black with TM black, same spec as yours.

I’ve had an ultra 1,2 and now 3. No scratches on the screen and none on the case ever. They really are durable. I really never found the need for a case.

Edit: as above your watch and your choice, but I have never found the need.

Ditto. Flawless.

Although I also kept my aluminium watches flawless too, even though I took them on mud runs etc.

I wouldn't use a case or screen protector on any of them, but particularly so with the Ultra series.

Very happy with my Apple Watch Ultra 3. It seems the screen is a lot less recessed than my Apple Watch Ultra 2 (2 years old) so putting on a screen protector is a bit more difficult. The screen seems less reflective than my Apple Watch Ultra 2... so I almost debated not getting a screen protector. Never used a case (they usually look pretty bad and just trap debris to grind into the watch in my experience).

Initially, I was really happy to see a horizontal battery drain - but - 24 hours later I see 70% battery left after a full charge, so the same as my Apple Watch Ultra 2 (can't complain, it's good battery life but was hoping for better). (My Apple Watch Ultra 2 had 99% battery health).

I settled on Mothca Matte glass screen protectors: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMVMPH3L?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title - the application device makes it 98% accurate and that works for me - and the matte glass is really good. I have not had it for long. I used to use iCarez Matte Watch protectors but they stopped making them.

Got my Watch 11 on launch day [Titanium black]. Absolutely gorgeous. Keeping my AWU 1 as its still a beast.

For those who have multiple Apple Watches, how to you guys handle charing between them.

Just picked up the U3, stuck with the natural titanium and happy with the choice - the black is awesome though. The light blue Alpine Loop looks much better than the pictures suggest. Very happy with the upgrade!
Good choice. I went for a black AWU 3 this time but the natural titanium really did pair better with most of my bands. I'm going to give it a few days, but I may (reluctantly) exchange it.

Ordering the S11, in titanium.

Deciding on the colour?

What about you?

PS, anyone wanna buy a pristine S10? 😉

Edit: Cancelled.
I went to look at the S11 in titanium, decided it was not worth the money compared to the Ultra 3 - I have even bought the titanium strap to go with it. Very happy with it so far 😊

I picked up a U3 with Ocean Band on Friday, coming from an S7 (and many other series before this).

I was excited to get the Ultra but I’m just not sure I love it. I don’t find it as comfortable as the regular models and it just feels a bit too bulky for me I think.

I’m considering getting a refurbished S10 titanium from Apple given the small upgrade from S10 to S11, but I’m still undecided.

I wore my Ultra 1 and Ultra 2 exclusively after years of Apple Watches. I got a Series 10 last year (42mm), and I have to say that I had forgotten how pleasantly comfortable and nice looking the Series watches are compared to the Ultra.

I did adjust to the Ultra and it became normal feeling to me, but it’s noticeable if you go between them.

I got a Series 11 so that I could give my wife my Series 10, and she gave her Series 7 to my daughter. I’d planned to trade in my Ultra 2, but I’m torn about keeping it still for days when I do longer tracked activities. The battery life and action button and such are just nice to have at times.

That said, I think you will adjust to whatever you get, but the Ultra is unavoidably bulkier and less comfortable with some scenarios.

I've never ordered an Ultra because I won't spend that much for a watch. But even going from 45mm s9 to 42mm s11 makes a huge difference in comfort.

I went from a SS S5 to an black ultra 3. And I couldn’t be much happier. The battery life and durability are why I went with this watch. And the battery life, and charging speed(which was very unexpected) have already been amazing. I wear it all day, and night. It barely breaks 50% charge. Put it on the charger before I SSS and by the time I’m out, it’s at 100% charge.

I felt that way also, but then I found the durability was better than the aluminum, and I was getting cellular anyway. So by the time I got a case and everything I was closer to the better watch. So I got the series 5 SS. And now the ultra 3.

My first Ultra was eye opening. Having owned Apple Watches since the AW3 - every single time I got a new one - I'd put a nice gash on the screen and have to live with it - no matter how careful I was.

The Ultra? I slammed that thing into concrete barriers, metal doors, marble tables - and it shaved off particulate of what it hit and came out unscathed - the screen was immaculate.

And spot on about charging speed and battery life. The ability to go 3 days with this thing if I wanted to (without trying) is great.

If that's how you treat your watch, the Ultra was made for you. :) My s9 aluminum has lasted 2 years with only minor scratches on the screen (none on the case) that you can hardly see, and I wear it every day, morning to night.

Probably doesn't help that I'm carrying a bit too much in my mid-section so I tend to swing my arms a bit wider than most. -But definitely agreed. LOL :D - I do miss those smaller watches.

No doubt about it. I’m interested to see how the new ion X glass holds up, but I only buy watches with sapphire. I’ve worn watches my whole life, and I cannot stand a scratched crystal.

Yes. The Ultra is really the standard that the Apple Watch should shoot for across the board for battery life, in my opinion. I’m hoping the Series 11 will at least show a noticeable improvement. It really is amazing to not have to baby or monitor battery life during the day.

Looks great! - how is the easy of putting it on ?

I use a trail loop on my S9 and it's easy - slip it on and then tighten w/ velcro attachment.
It’s super easy first couple times can be a bit fiddly but it becomes second nature. When taking it off I can be quite easy to hit the watch but I usually just put my thumb at the 12 o’clock position and it takes care of the problem
