You're better off calling ahead of time to check. I'm not sure if they do holds or not but it wouldn't hurt to ask as well. In my experiences, the previous models are usually still on display and many shoppers are clueless about the update.
 
Probable pick up a 15" and pass down my 13" if specs are good. But I don't feel the need to rush out.

that might change in the next 16 hours.
 
I'm not. I've had my MacBook Pro for only 7 months :rolleyes: but I still love it. Shoot, time flies with this thing. I better not forget to buy extended warranty.

i asked people bout that and they say it can take up to a week for it to hit Amazon, because apple supplies their stores first then tends to supply B&M stores before other online stores.

I know, it sucks. Sometimes it is three weeks.
 
I won't be picking one up tomorrow, but I will be ordering a high end 15" in the next month or so. Probably go for the Apple online store with the student discount. I get hefty cash back on the ol' credit card. :D
 
Waiting to see the specs for the entire 13" range. Really want SSD so need to see if Apple are kitted out in their black and white striped jumpers and swag bags when it comes to BTO's,
 
I would call to make sure they have them. Holding one for you is probably unecessary. I get out of work at 230, heading straight there and I know there will be plenty.
 
Iam going to have Apple replace mine hopefully on Saturday. If i can get a brand BRAND new ones, I will be thrilled! I'll find out in a few days..

You might have a better chance if you wait a while for them to clear out the old stock.
 
I'll be ordering the high end 17" (hopefully quad core) first thing tomorrow, and I'm going to sleep now because I can't stand the wait anymore..

As stated before I am laptop less after my HP finally crashed (thank god). I will be heading out in the afternoon to get a 13 or 15. See what the specs look like on the 15. I might just get the 13 and take the money I saved and buy more ram and an SSD.
 
Not getting one. I am waiting to hold out for next one. Apple does update their products with design change every 2-3 years. I expect this to be the same. This is the 3rd year since they updated MBP in late 2008.

Next update will happen either in late 2011 or early 2012. I am in no hurry to buy MBP. I love my air.

Yep, but last year I came too late during the day and they sold out of all 13" MBP (They had plenty of 15" in stock non-matte screen)

I am returning my Pro I bought less then 2 weeks ago, and hopefully getting one through the online store sometime next week. If it is released tomorrow, will we see a UK launch aswell, Apple generally release worldwide, no?
 
I would be tempted, but the funds aren't there and I couldn't justify it since my works like new 3 years later.
 
I will be ordering mine online tomorrow. I sold my late 08 uMBP 2 weeks ago, and have been patiently waiting for this day.
 
I'll probably buy the best equipped 15" tomorrow. I have a 13", but I think the 15" will be more powerful. I have to buy online in order to get a corporate discount through my company. Can't wait to see the specs. ;)
 
I will hopefully be getting one tomorrow if my stupid school sends me my refund check. I will most likely be getting a 15 inch because I want a model that can run Final Cut and Motion but I'm not trying to have the huge 17 inch since its for when I'm at school. I have a 27inch imac at home so I'm not worried about having a screen big enough to use at home.
 
Was thinking of swapping out 13", but I'm pretty unimpressed by what I'm seeing with the rumors specs. The i5 processor is tempting, but the IGP Intel 3000 has me worried. I will have to see the price to see if it's worth it. Just generally not as excited as I was a week ago now that I've seen the specs.
 
I'm getting something, that's for sure. I sold my iMac to make some room in the sable.

The question will be, does the 17 inch also go to make room for another 17 inch, or just a 13 inch laptop to carry with my 13 MBA.

Can't wait!
