I remember seeing a note on the Apple website stating that both solo loops will "get wider" over time... Can't find it anymore, though... I think you will be fine...

edit: typo

That exactly was my question, given the properties of the material, especially the woven material, it would seem logical that over time, it would get larger, or lose it's elasticity. Now, the question becomes define "time" in the above sentence.

So can we just return the band or does the whole watch need to be returned like last year?
I'm wondering the same thing... I think, since watch and band come in separate packaging, it should be possible to exchange the band only...

Then again: I have no benchmark experience from last year...

My wrist measures 17cm and i ordered a size 7. With the silicon sports loop, I use the M/L band on the second hole
Second hole means second smallest one?
On my Series 3 42mm I use the 3rd widest hole in the S/M-sport band... 16.5cm wrist size...

I meant second smallest one on the M/L. My wrist measurement was 17cm. I went with size 7

got my braided loop a few minutes ago. i should have went one size smaller. size i need (like almost all sizes now) isn't available until november :(

decided to do a return via the app and dropped it off at fedex.

dropped by my local apple store and they had the same color and a size smaller i needed. all good now. fits great. now i hope my wife's pink braided band coming next week fits otherwise we'll be visiting the store again.

It does not make sense that it would get larger if you wear it loose. If you wear it snug or tight, then yes. So it again comes down to how you wear it.

On the contrary, IF the band gets looser (and we don't yet know if it will) it will get looser whether you wear it loosely or tightly as you have to stretch it to get it on and it's that stretching action that's most probably going to loosen the band. :)

Sizing was dead on. Glad I went with the size I chose. The Sport Loop might be the most comfortable band I've ever had. I WILL be buying more of them, AMAZINGLY comfortable.

doesnt really add any value if you dont state how you chose the size you did...

The apple guided paper. I had it snug, but not overwhelmingly snug. Landed in between 9 and 10, went with the 9 figuring stretchy material. So if in between I'd size down.

Fair warning though, if you have rings I'd turn them or take them off. It's a scratch to the watch waiting to happen!

Since you have the braided loop, may I ask how the lugs fit? On my Atlantic Blue 44 mm they don't go all the way to the Watch edge. It doesn't matter to me as I don't notice it but I'm wondering if mine is defective or if they are all that way.
ETA: On closer inspection the lugs on my braided loop are too short AND don't engage properly. I'm returning to Apple for a replacement. But the size was perfect!

I measured as a 7 using the paper thing and using a tape measure the website said I should be a 4 or 5.

I tried the loops out for sizing in store this afternoon and I was a 3!

So in my experience the sizing is way off!!

I reordered another loop because of iJustines vid. I have a size 4 coming today but I’m afraid I will need a size 3 or even 2. I’ll update when it arrives. I used the paper cut out to measure and it was between a 3 and 4. Then I used the tape measure method and it measures a size 2!

I wasn't interested in the Solo Loop and now you've made me want one. Curse you!

Sorry... not sorry. If you hate the pressure of the regular sport band especially at hook/pin closure, you'll like the loop. However you have to sacrifice the stretching to get the watch over your hand/wrist.

I would think that Apple has already put the band in some kind of stretching machine to ensure that the band is good for at least a few thousand putting-on-taking-off stretching cycles.

But still the big question is how does the material hold up over time. If it loses its elasticity then all bets are off.

Yeah, I like the looks of my Sport Loops but I don't like the extra bulk weight of the pin closure, especially in my warm climate.

i have over a dozen bands but none are apple OEM, outside of the sport loop that came with my series 5. just pulled the trigger on a solo loop though. size 6.

If you have the original Sport Band on an existing AW the Loop size guide lines up pretty much perfect with it. On the M/L band set the size guide starts with a Loop size 6 on the smallest hole and goes up from there. Or at least it appears that way for me, will see how accurate that ends up being when I get the Loop.

I was very excited to order a new Solo Loop, because I love silicone bands but hate the buckle bump. My navy Solo Loop arrived today, and even though I measured carefully per the instructions, it's too big. Apple Stores are all still closed in my area, so I can't go to try on in person. My issue is, I don't know what the difference is between each size, so I don't know if I should go down one size or two. Anyone with experience trying on different sizes who can help? Other than it being the wrong size, I can tell I will absolutely love it once I get the proper size. It's soft and smooth and feels great.

I just received my braided loop watch band. It was too big for me even though I followed the instructions based on the print out that Apple provides on their site. Slides off the position I want it. Started a return and will be shipped via FedEx later on today. I’m honestly just going to return it and that’s it. Not getting another one since it’s back ordered till November. I also realized that 100$ for the band is way to much. It feels like a Walmart hair band. I also noticed that if you pop a strand it’s done for. Not worth the full price.

They have now 12 different Solo Loops in 12 different sizes.
do they shelf 144 different boxes now in the stores plus the other bands? What a nightmare
