Printed out their sizer and it showed 8/almost to the line separating 9. Ordered the 8 and am pleasantly surprised that the silicone solo loop fits quite well and is very comfortable. Curious to see the woven one now.
I origninally thought the band ws too large, but I realized it fits fine if I wear it further up on my wrist than I normally do. Maybe this is designed to make the oxygen sensor work more reliably. I read some reviews that stated that the oxygen sensor only works well if the watch is positioned higher up on the wrist.
Hm. I will reassess my size 7 fit on Monday when the 6 arrives and test the SPO2 with different positions. It’s a 4
143mm to be exact but I would just go the Apple store to get it sized. There are too many factors including where you measure your wrist and how snug you are measuring.Do you know the actual size of your wrist? I am just shy of 6” and trying to figure out which size I would need.
Did you get the braided loop or the other one? I'm surprised to read your post because we have almost the same wrist measurement, yet my braided loop was falling off of me. The apple care person I called even suggested I go down to a size 4, but I didn't want to risk dropping 3 sizes. My size 7 is on its way back to apple now.I sized as a 7 on both the cut-out and manually (170mm wrist). I picked up a 6 today in store because I prefer a snug fit, and it feels like maybe just a *bit* too tight. I think I should have gone with a 7, it would've been spot on. Surprised to see some major discrepancies here in this thread.
Over time, it will stretch and get a little more loose. Same for the Solo loop, depending on how often one takes the band on and off and much stretching is involved to get the band over the wrist.Got the braided loop in today. Followed the size guide and got a 9. Feels a tad loose like it could slip down, but it doesn’t quite slip down unless I shake my arm around. I feel like I could use one size down as well.
Also thinking about this... will it stretch out with use and become even looser?

Just got back from the Apple store today, tried on the rubber solo loops for both the 40mm and the 44mm. Here is my take
1. Forget about the printable tape, go with the "everyday object" option on the Apple site, which is that for a 6" wrist, it is a size 5. For every 1/4 inch up, add a size, for every 1/4 down, subtract a size. So get a real tape measure, preferably one used by tailors.
2. I measure 6", which is a size 5. I wear the regular size Nike sport loop with the pin in the third hole from the end.
If the pin is in the second hole, the watch would move around, if the pin is in the fourth hole, it would be snug. Having the pin in the fifth hole is impossible.
3. I decided that the most comfortable solo loop is a size 5, both for the 40mm and the 44mm. It does not stretch, and it does not move. Size 6 moves a little. It lays flat all around my wrist.
4. It is important to know that the solo loop is perfectly smooth on the underside, it does not have any bump or buckle or anything that would help to keep the watch in place. Consequently it is important to get the perfect fit. One size too small and you feel like wearing a rubber hand, one size too big and it moves around.
5. The rubber solo loop is extremely comfortable. I would get it even if I don't get a new watch.
