I gotta say, God help you (or maybe the ghost of Steve Jobs) if you ever had to return the watch and band at all after having done a store swap. I did a band swap in store back on 10.3, they did a return and repurchase apparently. Okay, but then trying to return it since the 5h of October, it’s gone round and round with online customer support (to send a mailing label, never happened, twice tried) and then being instructed it can only be done in store now - since the band had been swapped.. going to a store, they couldn’t return it and said only online could do it, which they said they couldn’t do. After 2 hours online over the past 2.5 weeks, and over 1 hour in the store, finally got it returned..

But, it would seem that doing the swap/like kind exchange really screwed the pooch on this one. IF you even THINK you might was to do a return within the return window, I would recommend against the in store band swap For now.

My Blue Series 6 40mm arrived today. Pleased to say that the measurements were correct! I measured 16cm with a tape measure and Apple suggested a Size 6 Solo Band. Fit is perfect - doesn’t slide up my arm and doesn’t squeeze my skin. Based on this thread I was quite concerned it wouldn’t fit but it all worked out perfectly. Hope this helps!

I downloaded the sizing chart online ... followed the printing instructions ... it put be at on the line between 7 and 8. It was a 7 if I pulled it really tight.

Too paranoid to get the wrong size, I waited till my local Apple store reported they had them in stock.

Using the in store sizing chart it actually put be at a 9 which really surprised me. I told the sales associate that the online chart put me at a 7.

The sales person got me a 44 with a size 8 (braided solo) to try on. It seemed okay at first, but with not a lot of movement/shaking of my arm it would result in it sliding down my wrist to my hand. Ya, that's not going to work. The sales associate said "Wow, you really are a 7." He then got me a 7 and sure enough I could move my arm any which way and it stayed put. The last thing I wanted was to run, jog, whatever and have the watch continually slip down.

So, I walked out with a GPS Silver Aluminum Series 6 with a normal Solo Loop (white) - just what I wanted.

Hence, the online chart printing it as instructed, getting it as tight as I could, was been spot on for me.

It is really comfortable and and definitely more than the normal Sport Loops. Because there is no "latch" part on the Solo Loop band, it makes the watch and its band feel really light.

I would recommend the Solo Loop.

Using Apple's printout, I measured a size 7. But using a tape measure and Apple's calculator, it suggested a size 8. I ordered the size 7 and it's usable but tighter than I wear other bands. It's possible that my tape measure is faulty as I trust Apple's printout more. In normal times, I'd try on a size 8 at the store to satisfy my curiosity. Has anyone obtained two different measurements?
I wanted to report back that my Size 7 fits perfectly. I would describe the fit as "precise." It's comfortable. Now my other bands feel a bit loose. In my case, Apple's printout worked as advertised.

For me, using Apple's printout, it gave me the right size if I pulled it as tight as I could get it without ripping the paper. It came out as a 7.

At the store using Apple's store measuring band I actually sized size 9/8 (when tight).

I tried the 8 and it fit fine; however, with some movement on my arm, it would slide down my wrist to my hand. Hence, any decent movement involving my arms would eventually result in me pulling the watch back up my arm; that would drive me nuts having to do that again and again.

The 7 is slightly tighter than what I am used to; however, the band is so comfortable, I quickly forget it.

In addition, the O2 sensor works better with tighter contact; hence I am getting really good readings as a result.

I think that watch placement is one of the issues with fit that people are having. I'm not going to say one way or the other if the watch "should" be worn above or below the wrist bone - it's personal preference. But if you wear it above, like you obviously do, then you want it tight enough so it doesn't slide down. I prefer mine below my wrist bone and wear watches more like a bracelet - a little loose.

Something to consider when ordering.

A good point. I wear my Watch below/on my wristband and prefer my bands a little looser (loose enough to be able to get a finger between wrist and band) and having the band looser also means I can push the band up my wrist when I wash my hands if I don't want to take the Watch off. I also live in a warm climate so there's never any "sliding" of the Watch up and down on its own. I also baby my wrists (had carpal tunnel release surgeries back in the day) and would never want anything the least bit tight around my wrist.

(My Solo Braided Loop fit was perfect using the original online tool. I returned the band for other reasons.)

TL;DR: There's a lot of variance in how people wear their Watches and how they want their bands to fit.

I find that if I wear my watch at or below my wrist bone, if I bend my wrist back, the crown gets pressed and activates Siri. This has happened more than enough times where silence was required. It is probably more of how my body is built. Hence, yes, you are correct, I prefer to wear my watch above the wrist bone as a result.

This is something to ensure when you are placing the band sizer on your wrist, that you place the sizer where you actually want your watch to rest.

Hi, after a month of so of daily use, how are your solo loops holding up?
Stretching much?
Still deciding if they're worth the price

My wrist size is 18 cm and they messured 8-9 and went with a 6. It's tight yes but perfect for blood oxygen and workouts. 7 would be fine too tho

I'll add one data point.. I think the Watch 6 is a tiny bit THICKER than the prior watches, so testing with it I was perfectly an 8.. but now back on my 4, its feels just a tad loose.. But not having to have it more snug just for the Ox sensor, its fine.

The Series 6 is actually thinner than the 4.
The Series 6 is lighter than the 4 also.

Specs for both above.

All good here. Glad I dropped from a 9 to an 8. But I would say its increased ever so slightly. Very comfortable fit. Also pulling it over my big hands isn't an issue. It just slips on and you don't even feel it being there.

Just picked up the braided green solo loop tonight at the Apple Store. Was surprised they had it in stock. I measured a 7, but went with a 5. Would have ordered a 7 or 8 online.

Braided solo loop red just arrived. I went for 44mm size 6 by Apple site. It fits perfectly tight.

Got you beat. Size 1 in the regular loop, braided size 1 was a bit loose. ;)

How does it fit? I have a small wrist as well too (glad I’m not the only one!) and wear the sport bands on the last hole. Wondering it if it’ll even fit me comfortably without being too loose.

Last hole? I think I wore the sport band on the second to last hole. I could fit the last hole if I stretched, but that felt a bit too tight. Second to last hole was a bit loose, but I preferred the loose to too tight. I switched to the Nike sport band when that came out, and that got me a better fit that wasn't too tight or too loose.

So the size 1 solo loop is really pretty comfortable on me. Not too tight or loose, feels just right. It's very light, which helps with the comfort. If you can get to an Apple store and try one on, that's the best, but if not, I think it's worth ordering one to try. Unfortunately, the only way to tell if it's going to fit is to try it on. Assuming your wrist is a bit smaller than mine, it might be a bit looser on you, but the band is grippy, so if you push it a bit higher on your arm, it stays there. Whether or not you feel comfortable wearing a watch that way, only you can decide. Good luck!

I was thinking about getting the braided loop but some users are saying that after a while it gets frayed. Anyone else seeing this on their bands?
