im trying to replicate the issue - been wearing them for three hours straight and nothing. Maybe im just a dry person? Or maybe it’s the warmer LA weather?

I hope this doesn’t affect warranty as they could be eager to blame moisture for any issues. Does anyone recall of temperature sensor stickers inside the ear pieces during any APM breakdown reviews?
What are these AirPods Max sensors? Got a link?
I’m really curious about what’s going to happen, after less than a month my AirPods Max noise cancelling button stopped working and it would auto-switch it on/off sometimes constantly. Then about a week later it stopped connecting properly and the a few days later it stopped outputting sound.
I received an express replacement pair today and have to send back the previous ones... didn’t think of these condensation issues, my ears don’t sweat at all or at least I don’t feel it when using them even for hours on end (a nice perk I think, leather-like ear muffs like beats solo2 the sweating after prolonged use was more obvious to me at some point) but THERE IS some condensation going on inside.

I hope they just don’t charge me a new pair because “water damage, you must have put them on the sink” or something. Got Apple care with them also from day 1. They are such a nice and convenient pair of headphones (for me never had something remotely similar ever before)... it would be a shame having to go through this several times on end or a deeper sort of costumer/manufacturer conflict 😞

Well I said I would not pay the $899 price in Australia but I did had mine 2 days and returned them. Hated them heavy and noise cancellation did not work correctly in one ear. Apple had no replacements so I got a refund never again.

Isn’t that normal? Basically earmuffs over your ears, of course they’ll sweat. If it’s noise cancelling, it blocks out most outside air I’d guess. Where else do you expect it to go other than to be soaked up by the ear cup sponges?

No I don’t think it’s normal after having them they have room to breathe because of the material that is used in the ear cups As you can hear the sound on the outside of the headphones when being used there not a perfect seal they use the microphones to make the noise cancelling not a sealed cup. So I don’t think the moisture is correct as to why I return mine also think it’s a fail.

Wow that made me short of breath just reading that

Classic airpods are the best. The most open and natural design which is best for prolonged use.

Apple: You are using it wrong.

Also Apple: *posts update regarding small number of complaints and repair program announcement which is nearly impossible to find on their website*

Unless something is leaking, THE BATTERY, it’s because of sweat. Apple just announced a dehumidifier for the AirPod Max. $99 an ear.

stop the madness!

When you have headphones covering your ears, your ears heat up and sweat. Where does sweat go? It evaporates!

It’s my assumption that Apple continues to use little moisture sticker “sensors” in their products that they’ve used in the past that change colors when excessive water comes into play. This is used for warranty purposes to ascertain liquid damage.

You’re right! I hope this isn’t the case where they blame you for this and accuse you of showering with them on, LOL. Good luck!

You missed the best punchline. "Where does sweat go? It EAR-vaporates!"
