I probably won't use any of the AI crap for free. There is no way I would pay extra for it.
Not so much Tim Cook. ChatGPT is already $US20 per month, why shouldn’t Apple get involved?Well of course.
Tim Cook 101.
Services are the great growth area for Apple Inc. …
Sell people the hardware and then rack up the monthly subscriptions to make it useful.
This is great news for investors 👍😀

The hardware will work the same with or without it. The information is the value.
For the price of a cup of coffee………. Blah blah blah. With all this damn coffee buying people are doing with subscriptions they can’t even afford the real thing.
it's about content being returned, not privacy.Talks about not using Meta because of privacy but then in talks with CHINESE companies. The irony.

The reality distortion field during an Apple meeting at HQ
Not really. No access to ChatGPT4, limited access to everything. No Dall-EChatGPT has an extensive free tier.
"useless" and then you list one useful feature...Haha, they want me to pay for a useless / gimmicky service that I didn't want in the first place?
The only single useful AI feature I saw in WWDC was editing written emails for more concise or formal sentences.
If true I was waiting for this to come up lol. After all the comments at Amazon… but I bet everyone is perfectly fine with Apple charging for AI right?.
If Apple tries to charge for its AI then it should make it work on a lot more devices, but they won’t.
Think I’ll stick with Alexa, maybe.
You listed a ‘useful’ feature for a service you called ‘useless’ 😂😂 Oh dear. The irony is that AI would likely have picked up the grammatical blunder in your anti-AI rant post 😂Haha, they want me to pay for a useless / gimmicky service that I didn't want in the first place?

I thought Apple were a charity?Apple is a business. Businesses exist to make profits.
That's reality. No distortion field required.
They hinted at it in the WWDC keynote. It sounds like they are working on getting enough supported phones in the wild. It sounds like the first phones will be capped at 3 free years and then the subscription will kick in. At that point I would expect one free year for those that haven’t signed up yet.Wasn't the Satellite feature also supposed to be paid after a year or so? What happened to that.
Currently, Apple is communicating two years of free emergency coverage. They hinted at it in the WWDC keynote. It sounds like they are working on getting enough supported phones in the wild. Indeed… it is widely rumored Steve Jobs is turning heaven a profitWhy is everyone acting irritated? These things take a lot of processing power and cloud storage, and that costs money. Apple is here to make as much profit as possible, they aren’t giving things away for free.
You only get 5gb of iCloud free to incentivize you to buy more.
Apple is very behind in this field, it is very hard to believe it’d become industry leader anytime soon, if ever.I'd guess $16-$26 a month for the AI stuff. ChatGPT charges $20 for the advanced version of its service. I fully expect Apple Intelligence to become the industry leader and it won't be cheap to run.
