Everything working fine with my setup. Mac mini 16gb 512 SSD. No bluetooth problems at all.

Tested my AirPods by connecting and disconnecting and it works all the time, guess I am lucky...

No keyboard or track pad disconnects either.

My Magic Mouse 2 randomly disconnects from my 2020 M1 MacBook Air probably 5-6 times a day between 8am and 6pm (typical workday). Odd thing is I don't have this connectivity issue with my Magic Keyboard. I use my machine in clamshell mode with wireless peripherals around 90% of the time.

This kind of thing is why I always wait for the second version of a new Apple product.
This is more than likely a software issue. People thought the iPhone 12 mini had display issues with not reading your finger, but that was even fixed with a software update. I doubt they used a completely different bluetooth radio in these. (To save cost for example)

I have the issue with a logitech mouse connected via bluetooth, lagging from time to time on a Macbook Air.
Haven't been a Mac user for few years and returning back for m1. I have a Logitech MX 3 mouse and noticed problems with bluetooth connectivity. I downloaded the Logitech Options software, but it did not see the mouse. Mouse was ok in the bluetooth settings. Problems with lagging.

I tried again today and noticed a popup for Options saying disable filefault for pairing and setting up the mouse. Did that and after settings in the Options app everything seems to be working great. Filefault back on and working well. I will come back with comment if problems follow, but fingers crossed.

I sometimes have BT issues on my 2018 i3 Mini using Apple’s keyboard and trackpad.

Also having issues here.

My previous macbook, the 2020 Macbook Pro 13 2.0 had none of these bluetooth issues.

My current macbook, the M1 macbook air, is causing stuttering when using my bluetooth mouse.

My bluetooth mouse supports both bluetooth 3.0 and bluetooth 5.0 modes. Interestingly, when connected using the bluetooth 5.0 mode the tracking is a lot more smooth, however every 8 or so seconds it will heavily stutter when tracking. When using bluetooth 3.0, the tracking is a lot less smooth, and more laggy, however it seems there are no stutter spike, so despite being generally more laggy its actually more useable.

This is a real shame, as using this same mouse on my ipad pro as I type this, with a Brydge keyboard and airpods pro connected, there are no issues at all, with either the 5.0 or 3.0 modes.

Therefore, there is definitely either an issue with the M1 Mac hardware or software. I’ll be exchanging my macbook air for a macbook pro tomorrow and I’ll report back if the same issues persist - which would indicate that this is a widespread issue.

I have experienced Bluetooth issues with my 16in MBP. Seems to happen a lot with waking from sleep. keyboard stays connected but mouse does not connect. Quick way to fix it wake up your Mac and turn Bluetooth off then on again. I use a Logitech keys keyboard and Logitech triathlon mouse. I bounce from PC to Mac a lot. Lol

FWIW, I'm having this issue with my space grey Apple mouse and my Apple bluetooth keyboard on my base model M1 Mac Mini. I've used a USB port to connect my keyboard and that's working well... but the dropouts on the mouse are happening 10 to 15 times an hour. Usually very short dropouts so not critical... just really really annoying.

My M1 Mac Mini is mostly fine. My Magic Trackpad's cursor is a little wonky sometimes, but I don't think that's the same issue that others are having. Hopefully this can be fixed via software update and doesn't require a return.

I had some stuttering with my magic keyboard last night, but power-cycling it seemed to resolve the issue.

I’m using Bluetooth on my 2008 iMac since 12 years and it always worked flawlessly. Magic keyboard, Apple mouse and trackpad

Logitech accessory don't work correctly even with my PC windows machine.
This is driver issue.

I am seeing wireless disconnect for no reason, but need to evaluate more before I know it is an issue.
Wow, I have been experiencing the same issue. Wifi sporadically disconnects itself, and I need to turn it off and on again to reconnect. Base model M1 MBA. By the way, my 16 inch MBP's wifi connection is dead solid and never disconnects.

I'm seeing this quite a bit. Thought the Mac had frozen but basically all the peripherals were just disconnected. Hopefully this is a software fix because these are all within the holiday return period.

No Wi-Fi for me, just the bluetooth. Particularly bothersome after a reboot.

Wish they had explained whether it affects the use of Air Drop or Bluetooth between Macs... In my experience, one must turn on Bluetooth to use AD.

I'll have to read the linked to thread (and this one!) to see what's up with that. Just searched this thread... no Air Drop reports. Just searched the linked one... no AD reports there, either!

I have a base MBA M1 in clam connected to U2719 display with Apple tb 3 cable. Lost my bt keyboard and trackpad for the 1st time today after 2 weeks. Disconnected & opened the MBA and they were back.

I have a bluetooth mouse connected to my 2018 Air and for the most part, it works fine. But every now and then, at least once a month, it stops functioning and I have to reboot the computer to get the mouse to reconnect. Been that way since day one, and I just live with it.
Same for my 2015 MBA.

A number of M1 Mac owners are reporting problems with Bluetooth connectivity on the new machines, ranging from intermittent disconnects of wireless peripherals to completely non-functional Bluetooth connections.

Some users with M1 MacBook Air, M1 MacBook Pro 13-inch, and M1 Mac mini models are variously seeing problems with both third-party accessories like Bluetooth mice, keyboards, and headphones, as well as Apple products such as AirPods, Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard.

M1 owners have taken to the MacRumors forums and Reddit to discuss the glitches, and Mac mini owners appear to be worst affected, with the problems compounded by the fact that many rely on wireless peripherals to interact with their Mac in order to free up available ports.

One user reported identical issues after receiving a replacement unit from Apple, while another user was able to successfully connect their Logitech accessory using the included Unifying Receiver Bluetooth dongle. However, there's still no consensus on whether it's a software problem or something more deep-seated.

It's not clear how widespread the problems are, but Bluetooth issues certainly aren't unheard of on Macs. Nevertheless, the news will be disconcerting for anyone who relies heavily on Bluetooth connectivity and is waiting on a new M1 Mac. Apple has yet to respond to the issues, but we will update this article if we hear anything soon.

I had a USB issue. My HP 1012 laser printer (not an air printer) could be seen by the M1 MacBook Air, but it could not print. The computer showed "Missing USB class driver" error. The old printer which has an old USB plug was connected using the adapter hub that connects a trackball and an iPhone successfully to the computer.
