So, I had a Series 0 for the last five years, and when I got the SE my wrist was sweating waaaaay more compared to the S0. I thought it was just maybe the newer material of the sport band (it's a less soft rubbery than the S0), and maybe it still was; and I also thought that it was just the newer watch with a faster processor creating more heat.
Did you catch where it's made - i.e. is the SE still produced in China, or did they move to Vietnam like the AirPods Pro?

EDIT - folks in North America report devices produced in China. Wonder if this is the same for Korea...

Unfortunately I know exactly what I am talking about. Apple have a long and inglorious history of cutting corners, making lesser quality to maximise profit. Have to be in complete denial to ignore that. We don't know what the problem here is yet, but there's substantial precedence to say that they could be cutting corners as they have done so in the past. It's all about profit for Apple, quality has been going down for a while.
Again, more generalities. Apple ships about 300M devices per year and there will be problems in some cases.

Apple products consistently outlast other tech and it isn’t close. Go look at the used iPhone market as an example. They hold value for a reason. Quality and support.

As an Apple fan would say: it’s your own fault, if you don’t want a burned arm then build your own watch.

The report says he was sleeping with it on and woke up with a burn.
I should have read it. My sentiment hardly changes. I can say with near-absolutely certainty that is not a burn. The white circle is simple an impression, and I'm *guessing the redness is more from the heat causing sweat causing skin irritation. Or simply from being too tight but then I would wonder why the pressure from the bottom piece didn't cause the same type of reaction/appearance. In any event, all this last bit is complete guesswork, but I still don't believe it's a burn.

I ain't no docta tho.
