Have any TMO customers who received the 412 activation error had their issue resolved? If so, what did you do to resolve it. My account is the 55 plus account? i'm still unable, though now rather than just a 412 error message i get a 412-A " Billing address on file cannot be systematically validated. Please call care to update your billing address prior to retrying"
When I called Care, they wanted top transfer me back to Apple.......

Yes, I have tried last four digits of the EIN. Same error.

Of course. Curious did you purchase it from T-Mobile or Apple? I saw the note above from them and see she noted some bugs so curious if it is or is not impacting all business account customers.

Do you have WiFi calling turned on where it asks you to enter you home address for E911 services or something, just curious since it calls out your address and technically the watch will be making all the calls by Cellular or WiFi calling when away from your phone since it is a Data only device.

I purchased both watches directly from Apple.

I also have WIFI calling turned on.

You should have care edit and re save your address in their system and make sure it matches E911 - Also would suggest reseting the watch and setup as new, ask Care if they can deactivate your SIM card in their system and then reactivate it. There has to be some kind of weird thing in their system because that screen in the activation flow is all them.

Also ask if they see any of your watch information on their end like IMEI or EID. Just curious.

I'll check with Care this morning, but have already reset the watch as new and started from scratch a couple of times.
Thanks for the feedback

I was on chat and the phone with Verizon for about six hours on Friday. The reps told me, among other things:it’s an Apple problem, we have to send you a Sim card and you have to go to a Verizon store to get it inserted, you need a different type of account, and we don’t know. Finally, after convincing them in fact I did not need a Sim card and that my account was just fine, and escalating up the chain, I finally got it activated. It was an unnecessary nightmare

For any T-Mobile users out there who's having issues, I suggest following B720's steps below. I got mine fixed and the free 3mos is still intact. Basically just remove the plan, then select keep it on the watch; then reconnect. Thanks again @B720 ^^

I had this too and called T-Mobile. She did say my billing address needed to be verified and did what she needed to do and then refreshed the system. I was then able to get past that and it said set up was a success.

I'm not seeing the t-mobile row after I select the cellular row either? I think it will never be there unless you have already activated the cellular plan

Lol, bloody useless Apple Watch thing - and it's not like they haven't had the resources to get this right.
Sounds like it isn’t Apple that didn’t get it right but the carriers, this should have been as simple as adding an iPad to a shared data plan. They could even add another $5-10 a month 'line access fee'. But the carriers couldn’t figure it out and didn’t say so before the launch. If they had been upfront and just said something like “we apologize but our systems aren’t quite ready to launch service on the new LTE watches. We have set up this page to signup for email or text alerts to be notified when our systems are prepared” on like Wednesday or Thursday folks would be mildly peeved but probably understanding. After all we have no evidence they knew about this before we did two weeks ago

Sounds like the cellular plan for the watch hasn't been added to your account with T-Mobile; can you guys see your watch plan on my account?

I have been working this for the past two days on the phone with Apple and AT&T. I finally went to the AT&T store for help and they told me that there are over 1,000 open tickets on this issue. The problem is a corrupted database from Apple. The database, and my account, said my watch was an LG tablet and the IMEI number was not the same as on the box, and some crucial data was missing. The fix is supposed to be released this Tuesday. I have an appointment with the local Apple Store on Wednesday in case the fix is not a fix; it will get returned.

I have a business plan and after hours on the phone, this is what I did to get my LTE to work. First I had att add my watch to my account by calling them first. Once it was added, then I went to the watch app to set up cellular.. you will get a second phone number for your watch, but don’t worry, they can still call you cell number with the phone off and your watch will ring. So once you go to set up cellular, you will have to register as a new device (I was told not to log in, you must create a new account first) then your phone number will automatically be filled in and enter the last 4 digits of your PHONES IMEI. Leave the zip code blank. The just follow the prompts. Once I was done I got a error. Restarted my phone and watch and worked perfectly. Hope this helps.

I think that’s the whole problem. I can’t avctivate the plan because when I attempt to set up cellular, it takes me to a T-Mobile page, which requires that I type the last 4 of my ssn. The it tells me that my ssn is wrong! Can’t get passed that page so no way to even set up the cellular

Maybe you can give T-Mobile a call and give them the EID and IMEI found at the bottom of the Apple watch box and see if they can add it there manually. The problem that I had was it got added on my account, but unable to make/receive any calls. So much issues with this release, hopefully they can work it out soon.

T-Mobile’s problem is with business accounts because they are identified by EIN instead of SSN. It seems T-Mobile’s Apple Watch activation system is not set up to use EIN, though.

Oh you're on a business account, sorry I thought you had a personal account. I hope that gets resolved soon, I can see other posters still having issues because they have a business account.

I should never have agreed to a business account. When I was switching from AT&T, the T-Mobile clerk at a local store strongly leaned on me to open a business account. I should never have done it.

Currently using a 7+ with a S3 Watch on a T-Mobile Personal Unlimited Account. I have been receiving error codes 411, 412, and 412-A. Tried multiple troubleshooting steps. Spoke with T-Mobile and Apple multiple times. I eventually was able to escalate the issue to a Ticket with Apple's Engineering team. Currently awaiting reply.

Just curious, have you tried to remove the cellular plan on the watch and add it back?

I just called T-Mobile (again) and asked them to set up my cellular service on their end. They said they can’t because I didn’t purchase my watch from T-Mobile. So here we are again, their resolution is for me to return the watch to Apple and buy it directly from T-Mobile. I hate this company!

Hang up and call them back, and hopefully you get a more knowledgable rep.
