It's funny that someone said "iPhone unlocks but swipe up to open fails (screen unresponsive)" because I've had that issue for almost a year on my 12 mini. iOS 15 seemed to have finally fixed it, though. My 13 mini was fine out of the box.

I've had the swipe to unlock not work a few times, but it's so much better than the 12 was on launch that I honestly don't even worry about it. Apple will sort it out eventually, and it will just work. Soon®.

Maybe working from home isn’t the best way to write complex software requiring integration of different teams.
My 13 ProMax is getting worse, more and more I have to use side button to wake screen up. Also intermittently unresponsive at other times. Glad it’s software and not hardware.
I think you're exactly right. I know I'm not as productive at home, even if I may work longer hours.

Man, the launch of iPhone 13 and release of iOS 15 looks like a hot mess. I've been plagued by unresponsive touch issues since I got my iPhone 13 Pro. I have probably hard/soft reset my iPhone 13 Pro more than my previous iPhones combined 🤦🏻‍♂️

Having that issue on my 2020 iPad Air on some sites. Some work fine some don't. This since update to iPad OS15 so not just an iPhone 13 issue

Maybe the display driver that supports the pro-Motion display is having something to do with it. Plus the fact that many, including developers, at Apple are not so happy with the policies and culture of their employer.
trillion dollar company that does not learn from its past mistakes. Profit over anything is the mantra. Every Q the earnings must be higher, no matter what is sacrificed.

I got the storage issue & the touch issue mine seems to effect where the bottom of the screen is. I also have an issue with when you touch to change/edit for typing. It doesn’t go to where I want the curser!!!! Really annoying I have to hold the keyboard & drag to where I want to add words as I’m typing. You’d think with as many people using the iOS system & even betas they would be better at fixing bugs. Hopefully we don’t have to wait a month for a fix! Apple is the new Microsoft 🤣🤣🤣😡😡😡

I’ve been having this on my XS Max since the iOS 15 upgrade. It happens sometimes when I’m scrolling but mostly when I’m pinching to zoom in or out.

After a little while the touchscreen will respond again but whatever zoom state whatever is onscreen was in when it stopped is where it will be stuck until I kill the app.

I knew something was wrong. Before I upgraded to the 13 Pro, my XS was having issues with tap and pinch to zoom. Was perfectly fine on iOS 14 but 15.0 broke something. It happens much less on my 13 Pro but like others said sometimes taps don’t register (like in the YouTube app).

This has been an iOS 15 issue since at least the last couple Beta releases. I have this issue on both my 11 Pro Max and Xs Max. Have reported the bug to Apple, but no response yet.

Issue first was noticed when using Instagram, having to tap multiple times to open a post.
This is really noticeable for me on the Settings --> Battery screen

Try selecting individual day bars (mine are tiny because I'm not a heavy user) - sometimes it works, other times you're tapping away and nothing happens. A lot of times you have to double press to get it to register.

Edit: 12 Pro Max here.

Mine doesn’t seem to directly relate to this but all of a sudden my iPhone XS Max is running snail pace and nothing Will respond within 1s. System eventually recovers but it takes a few minutes or longer. iOS 15.0.

Apple, you don’t need to try this HARD for planned obsolescence.
