I didn't ask about the camping, i've asked about the caring…

It's a disposable phone that costs more than the majority countries minimum income in the world… Heck, in my country, a 16GB 6 plus almost doubles the minimum income… So, i'm sorry if i take care of my disposable phone that costed a lot of money to get and that i plan to use for the foreseeable future.

And nope, i'm not jobless nor a hipster, i just like to take care of what is mine…

Then WHY aren't you considering more durable phones?

Yeah, you don't really know how this works. As someone who's been both "fat" and "thin" I can tell you fat people have a lot more give when it comes to this stuff as fat is squishy, where thin people are up against much more rigid muscle and bone.

Good example: when I was fat sitting on a firm surface was fine. My fat contoured to make it more comfortable. When I was thinner sitting on a firm surface was hella uncomfortable as the top of my femur was pressing down on the sitting surface.

Trust me, body weight has nothing to do with this, and if anything, fat people have more give against their body than a muscular person.

Umm, I've been fat and thin, also. I disagree, because fat people often have very tight pants. Not because they want to, but because they don't want to buy bigger... :)

I'm sure Other phones bend too it's just an Apple iPhone is a really popular phone of course it just came out so it's getting a lot of attention

ermm… Because i'm free to choose and i like Apple hardware and software, and because i've never had any problem with Apple hardware? Be it phones, computers, screens, keyboards, whatever…

I'm not the one complaining about durability… ;)

Ouch

Sounds like a serious design flaw. A phone is not meant to be a fragile piece of jewelry and is supposed to be able to withstand a reasonable amount pressure, which includes pressure from sitting inside a jeans pocket. Where are you supposed to put the phone if you go out in jeans and t-shirt? (Wait.. don't asnwer that!)

Apple needs to put a titanium alloy frame inside that phone or something like that. Jony Ive needs to go back to the drawing board... I was very tempted to buy, but now I am definitely not buying.

http://www.smh.com.au/digital-life/...bending-in-pants-pockets-20140924-10l5qm.html - that's a fair bit of pressure applied, but I personally think the phone should have been able to withstand it.

But new iPhone6 users are... are you one of them? You are vehemently defending them so I can only assume you already own one and have deemed them up to task.

About time, I hate skinny tight pants and apple has finally done something about it, now back to Janco :)

Again, i'm not complaining (nor defending Apple as i already pointed) about anything… So your question does not apply to me…

A nice quality solid case will strengthen the chassis further. The 6+ is not a phone that is designed to fit into your pocket. I have the Note 3 and that feels like it’s going to break into two any second, so I keep it outside my pocket whenever I can.

It was the same BS about the 5 and 5S and millions of phone survived without an issue. I don;t know anyone who doesn’t utilize some sort of case on their iphone. The thinness of the 6 and 6+ make them perfect for a case.

Design flaw? Sorry junior, but anyone familiar with aluminum knows a large applied force will impose the stress/strain curve to failure.

In lamens terms, walking on sheet metal buckles. Imagine planting your rump on it and applying the Force of your body on it.

The lack of basic science background in America and beyond is beyond comical.

That's is exactly what a design flaw is. If a chosen material is detrimental to the overall functionality of the device, it's flawed.

You aren't defending the iPhone6?!? Ok. We will agree to disagree.

Meh… I don't like to repeat myself, but…

Anyway, i'm not defending Apple blindly, i'm just saying that a) It's a delicate piece of hardware and carrying it in a tight pocket on tight pants, where it will be subjected to heavy forces it's asking for problems (at least remove it when siting or getting in a car for example) and b) it's stupid to compare different forms and materials (plastic vs aluminium) and making of that a point.

shuuushhh… Don't say that loud… Or someone might think that someone… cof cof Samsung cof cof… is behind all these "news"…

Although this isnt 'the same' as it was with the 5/5s, it will blow over because brand loyalists will overlook anything. As this thread, (and many a Samsung/Moto/HTC) thread will attest to...

Gen6 iphone users will learn to live with malleable phones, just as Android users learned to live with a sketchy OS, and ugly phones for many years...

This comment seems to indicate ignorance..I don't think a device ever had a widespread bend issue like the iPhone yet you guys don't want to acknowledge that...

I have had my 6 plus since the release date. No bending issues here; and yes it is in my front pockets a great deal during the day

Or most of you are just whining because it's cool nowadays to whine against Apple and to insult Apple customers… I guess that the Android fan base is getting boastful...
Your platitudes stand diametrically opposed to the multitudes of apple loyalists (possibly now realists) who have expressed their discontent (whining in your eyes) with the 'bendghazi' development.

Same here. Two of them actually.

And in other news, someone ran over their phone and it broke.

This will surely be the experience of most iPhone6 users. Just dont try to convince Note users that the iPhone6 is not a wet noodle in comparison. :)
