The m8 is a popular Android flagship. How long did it take you to find a one complaint about chassis issues for a phone released 8 months ago?

The m8 is popular among Android enthusiasts. It is not popular outside of them. I would be surprised to hear they sold as many m8s since their launch as Samsung moves new models in their first month, or Apple moves new models in their first weekend. The only player in Android who enjoys any degree of mainstream popularity is Samsung(here in the states anyway).

And it took exactly one google search, the top return on my search term in fact, to find that story. You can find more examples of bent non-apple phones too, if you care to, which I'm guessing you don't.

Your platitudes stand diametrically opposed to the multitudes of apple loyalists (possibly now realists) who have expressed their discontent (whining in your eyes) with the 'bendghazi' development.

A) did I said anything wrong in the post you quoted? Isn't cool nowadays to bash Apple and Apple customers? You only need to see the flood of meme's and posts that filled the Internet the days after the iPhone release/announcement, specially those "Welcome to 2014". It's a social trend to mock Apple.

Android fans are becoming what they accused the Apple fans of being…

B) My post that you quoted was not directed to the ones with real iPhone problems, but for those whining without even owning a iPhone or anything Apple related and that, yet, they seem pretty discontent of this problem. Do you think that the loads of new users since the iPhone release or announcement is, lets say, innocent?

C) my platitudes (thank you for calling me and my opinions banal) are my opinions. And my opinion still stands… Don't freaking sit with your metal smartphone tucked in a tight pocket and on tight pants… Physics is real… ;)

D) I still don't understand your question… Because as i said, it doesn't apply to me.

Thats a load of crap. WHile of course HTC isnt moving what samnsun/apple is moving they've sold 10s of millions of HTC ones. Even Motorola sells MILLIONS of android phones every quarter.

And your ONE search found ONE undocumented case of a slight bend in an m8.

This will surely be the experience of most iPhone6 users. Just dont try to convince Note users that the iPhone6 is not a wet noodle in comparison. :)

I have the note 3 chump and I can tell you that my 6+ runs circles around this in every aspect. Beyond my opinions, you have sales figures and actual tests which verify that the ip 6+ is running circles.

Maybe a curved edge design was a bad idea. They test for this kind of abuse and I have a hard time believing they didn't know that this would come up. You have beta testers with phones in their pockets, but maybe the beta tester version had sapphire screens, hmm...

The youtube videos posted earlier in this thread are at odds with your experience. Sorry chump.

The fact that you are using the M8 as an example illustrates that you have no idea what you are talking about. At least use the Note 3 or G3 LG but the HTC handsets are absolutely no comparison.

Yes, you cannot bend the M8 but the phone is not even close to the competition.

You are projecting the pretense that you are not a died-in-the-wool apple fanboy. You should just stop.

I have extensive hands-on experience with all three. I chose the m8.

Indeed, as apparently are the now 10 million owners of the newest iPhones versus your “Youtube videos".

I could easily snap my Note 3 in half, but that doesn’t mean it’s some sort of design flaw.

I have had my 6 plus since the release date. No bending issues here; and yes it is in my front pockets a great deal during the day

Which way is the screen facing? I'm curious to know which way the screen was facing for these incidents. To me, it seems like the screen would be facing out, not to the thigh. I couldn't decide between the 6+ or the 6. I was leaning towards the 6+ but this makes me want to go towards the 6. But I'm curious to know since I always face my screen towards my thigh.

And you should just stop making assumptions… First that i was discontent… Then about my opinions… Then about the whinery… Now about my fanboy'ism…

Oh well… At least it looks like i'm an open book for you… At least we have that…

Sigghhh…

Ah I see, you chose the m8, therefore this must be the best phone on the market.

I had the m8 and while it was a decent phone it’s no match to even its android competition. Hats off to HTC for making a phone the size of a 1997 Motorola flip phone that also indestructible.

Next you are going to say that the macbook pro is crap because it’s no match in a drop test to that of my Dell Latitude workhorse laptop.

Or that you cannot sit on a MBP without bending it, so it's a design flaw… :D

So do I, that way cell signal transmits away from my body rather than through it.

My m8 is absolutely NOT the best phone on the market, is there such thing? Best fit for me? For my criteria yes.

I own two macbooks, one pro and one air, and they are beautifully crafted machines, and I never pick up Nexus 7 if my ipad mini is within reach. Im not blinded by brands... i'm a whore who will give my money to the company offering the best product, for the best price, that fits my needs the best.

Yes, this is true. The Dell I have is around 1 inch thick and is indestructible. As pointed out by others here regarding materials, to even think to compare this to a macbook air is a joke.

The iPhone is not a device designed or sold for its physical durability. Like taking an Audie A8 4 wheeling and saying it’s completely crap because it breaks down unlike a Landcruiser.

Again, not buying it. My wife brings home her brand new/expensive work Dell all the time and its a crickety floppy POS compared to our macbook pro. We arent comparing tough-books to a microsoft surface... so quit moving the goal-posts.

You certainly come across like you are. I’m actually going to be ordering my Note 4 tonight too.

In every single place on the internet where an Apple article is mentioned, there will be some clown android fanatic calling everyone else isheeps and telling everyone for the 1,000 time how crap they assume an apple product to be.

Wash rinse repeat every single year.

I have a old plastic laptop from a brand called Insys, and that thing wont break… My little nephews already dropped it a few times, some of those times in ceramic floor or cement, and so far that thing is unbreakable. lol A scratch here and there, but nothing broken.

It's heavy, thick and sucks completely… :D

I seriously consider the iPhone every time I come up for contract, they make really nice stuff. Android just does so much more (of what I want)... and the m8 is android OS packaged in apple hardware so to speak.

Regarding every 'android clown'... for every one of them there is an apple fanboy claiming bending phones is not a concern, ****** reception is your holding your phone wrong, my gen1 ipad getting deprecated due to iOs upgrades is just life... etc etc. Dont purport that this is a one-sided phenomenon.
