Seems you guys are equally as desperate to find a reason to hate this guy. I wonder what is more pathetic...

What do you guys care so much? He is doing what he is expected to do, if you do not like his videos than do not watch them. Other people watching them & other people commenting on them does not affect you in any way at all. I literally do not see the problem. Hell you can probably even block the guy to prevent his videos from showing up in your world on accident.

Seems Apple users really are the whiniest bunch of people. Imagine explaining to a starving kid you are upset because a youtube video maker is making youtube videos. Lol jesus people.

Yeah people that say he tries to create another "bend-gate" are very amusing.
His channel grew around 4 times since that "bend-gate" clip so he's been doing just fine. Heck he has one of the most popular Youtube Tech Channels.
What makes them mad is how well Lew covered his basis with these last 2 clips about the new iphones. He literally has a table full of iphone x Max's so nobody can say he's talking nonsense, all they can do is attach him in a subjective and personal way.

Given what a technical disaster this device has turned out to be, I'm starting to feel hesitant about getting an iPad Pro when (or if) they ever are released.

There seems to be other issues with the charging of the new X models.

The Belkin valet powerhouse AP/AW charger will not charge the new phones but perhaps its a separate issue. Just seems to be connected in some way.

I have a Gold and Silver model coming but I may wait to open and transfer phones until something further develops with this. But then again, there is the wireless charging pad that can do its thing until a fix comes to fruition.

I don't think Lew is unfair. From my experience he's one of the most honest reviewers out there. He's not saying anything that Apple wouldn't say. When I popped back into the store to get an XS replacement because of #sleepgate (separate issue from #chargegate), and told them the issue I was facing, the guy was like "OMG! That's terrible, that's not the experience we want you to have." And doooh, of course not. The higher the price, the higher the expectation. Having said that, I understand that sometimes you get a dud. I've had an ATI Radeon card die on me after just a week. Did I avoid ATI cards in the future? Of course not. Used many more before and after, and they performed excellently.

On the first XS I got, I had both #sleepgate and #chargegate. On the second one, I have neither issues. Might be fixable with software, but I'd be careful calling it just a bug. Both issues feel at least induced by hardware somehow. But again, having said that, it's an amazing phone and a fantastic piece of technology. Is there no Android alternative to it? There probably is, but I also prefer iOS as an operating system and Apple's privacy policy over Google's.

Don’t see how you can call him fair when he claimed the iPhone xr has the same resolution as the iPhone 4.

He was referring to pixel density, not resolution.

He said resolution not pixel density.
That’s not the definition of fair, that’s actually misleading and bordering on fud.

Or are you claiming as a tech reviewer, he doesn’t know the difference between the two metrics.

Seems to have been a simple error, as it’s clearly not the same resolution.

Watch the video again, he said it more than once.
And no it’s not a simple error.
He made a baseless claim and offered no correction.

Are you claiming he does not know the difference between pixel density and screen resolution? Two different display metrics.

A tech reviewer that doesn’t know the difference, I don’t believe that for an instant.

Someone please invite this guy to the next Apple event so he can shut up.

Oh he is the problem ? Seriously ?

Unbox Therapy's cringy thumbnails are eye cancer. Dude's so desperate to repeat the views for bendgate.

Well, as long as apple is giving him so much crappy cases, he has an easy task.

That dude is annoying as eff.

Anecdotal.
All I care about is the substance of what he’s saying.

The format. Colors. Music. All that fluff doesn’t matter. I’m looking purely at the substance. An he’s hit this nail squarely on the head.

Hope this brings attention to this issue.

Why are so many people ignoring the issue in here to attack Lew?

It's normal and to be expected.

In any group there will be a basal rate of people who will always attack the person - regardless of the message.

In the same group, you will have a basal rate of people who attack the message.

And in the same group you will have those who consider the substance of what is being said critically.

You can’t fault people who are in either group. Just know they are doing what they are genetically predisposed to do.

Keep the fluff. Give me the info. Unbox therapy has brought attention to something pretty significant. Imagine plugging in your phone for the night and wake up to a dead battery the next morning because it didn’t charge?

It's comical that the same handful of posters blindly defending Apple in this thread, are also blindly defending Apple in the skin smoothing thread.

I believe it happened with my iPhone 7 Plus. I had it plugged into my computer and it wasn't charging until I unlocked it.

Such a disaster that it's the best iPhone I've ever owned.

Or maybe those people understand that there are way more important things in life to worry about than a skin smoothing selfie camera (Jesus), and a probably software glitch causing a slight charging issue.

I’d say the inability to charge an iPhone is a problem.

What kind of video would you prefer?

I like MKBHD, someone who can give you objective information in a more straightforward way. He isn't abrasive and isn't afraid to speak out against companies, such as Google.

Seeing no issues with my XS Max. As usual, it seems this issue is impacting a small number of people but the forums make it seem more widespread than it truly is.

I did not have this issue on my original iPhone Xs Max, but have it on my current iPhone Xs Max and my iPad Pro 10.5 (only recently appeared on iPad).

If it only recently appeared on the iPad it would indicate a software issue, so hopefully a fix is coming ;)
