That’s right the gooseneck iMacs used to have a tilting problem.I know! My G4 17's screen is slightly out of horizontal alignment. That is to say: NOT level.

Such a stupid analogy🙄The same people will pay 70,000 for a truck that the hood has never been aligned.
This is simply not true…..Apple always replaces defective products with zero hassle.
Yeah, the only difference is back then, the Apple II users that hated the Mac weren’t as numerous as the Thunderbolt Display users (or AirPort users) that hate everything Apple does now LOL. Oh, and the trolls, can’t leave them out! That’s right the gooseneck iMacs used to have a tilting problem.
what's ridiculous is how this relatively inane post has clearly divided the audience here. some people have an issue with a 1mm tilt. others don't. in particular, I just don't see why people are hating on others for having an opinion. why are your feathers so ruffled some people want an iMac with a straight screen? And that's exactly what the iMac is, Near Perfection. You're not even paying attention to what you said. The fact that only a couple of people even mentioned it and nobody on the iMac forum said a damn word about it says that you are trying to exacerbate an issue just because it's Apple. Your post suggest that it should be perfect, not near perfect and you're being ridiculous.
Nothing divided here. In fact I got a great deal of Likes on my post and you were the only one who downvoted it. LOL Your post that I quoted in fact got a lot mixed likes, dislikes and laughs.what's ridiculous is how this relatively inane post has clearly divided the audience here.
Not a single post of mine here denies that.some people have an issue with a 1mm tilt. others don't.
LMAO that's exactly what you're doing right now by saying my "feathers are ruffled" when it's actually yours that are which is why you're posting such an angry response.in particular, I just don't see why people are hating on others for having an opinion. why are your feathers so ruffled some people want an iMac with a straight screen?
Really? Show me any of my posts where I'm downplaying anything? You're making stuff up. 😂and since you're reading into my intentions, I'd counter you're trying to downplay an issue because it's apple.
So? Never said they couldn't. You're being defensive to the wrong person. As I said you're not paying attention to what you're writing.people can critique and hold them to a high standard. there's no harm in that, no harm to you or anyone.
It is definitely not expensive. 4,5k thin monitor + computer + keyboard + mouse + camera + speakers, all in aluminum body for 1200$ is great deal. There is nothing even comparable on the market in terms of spec and price. They're dealing with a technology that is measured in single digit nanometers. Being several millimeters out in the case just looks sloppy.
If this was a cheap product, fine, but the iMac is not cheap.
First World problems. Not news worthy. Just return it and get a new one.
Well let's be real about it. He has over 600k subscribers. HE KNOWS that the smallest Apple complaint will instantly be exacerbated on MR. He also could've just exchanged his computer without making a YouTube video about it. When people put out any adverse news about Apple on YouTube it spreads over the web instantly. If this was about Dell you'd never hear about it.i just want to say Faruk at iPhonedo is an exceptional YouTube reviewer. He didn't overblow the issue and just simply stated his was crooked, he showed a significant issue with his then got on the business of reviewing the computer. I don't blame him for replacing it, the lean was significant and he paid for his computer himself. It's OTHER organizations like, MacRumors (which I love but come on guys), that then start photoshopping crooked iMac's and making splashy headlines that will turn this into the next "gate".
welcome to new old applesoldered ram, ssd, cpu. "One external display" limit.
HARD PASS
Yeah, he's exceptional. Takes 9 minutes to cover a subject he should have covered in 2.i just want to say Faruk at iPhonedo is an exceptional YouTube reviewer. Anyone who has a visibly crooked iMac however, I don't blame them replacing it.
It was supposed to be just a first impression video.Yeah, he's exceptional. Takes 9 minutes to cover a subject he should have covered in 2.
Well then, there you have it. One can use Jony Ive's head as ballast for the "crooked" iMacs.Perhaps they are looking at it wrong, look up an image of Jony Ive and his head is always tilted.
Wouldn't that suck to spend the money to upgrade to a VESA mount and get one with a crooked VESA mount. As reported by Jason Snell after talking with Apple, the 24" models can be swapped between Stand and VESA at either a Genius Bar or an authorized Apple service center. This involves replacing the entire back shell of the device and therefore is likely not an inexpensive option - but it is now an option.
