High-end MacBook Pro models are experiencing extended delivery times due to component shortages and ongoing lockdowns in China caused by the global pandemic, according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

In the online Apple Store, M1 Max and custom M1 Pro versions of the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro deliveries are delayed until late May or early June, and in-store pickups are unavailable until June.

We have also heard from several MacRumors readers who were waiting on MacBook Pro models ordered in March and April and who have now had their shipments significantly delayed because of Apple's supply issues.

MacRumors reader Eric, for example, ordered in March and was supposed to receive his machine by April 22, but now his order has been delayed until mid-May. MacRumors reader Vera was supposed to get an M1 Max MacBook Pro on April 13, but now the estimated delivery date is May 9 to May 16.

We've received several reports from frustrated Apple customers who have been patiently waiting for their MacBook Pro models to arrive in April, and many of them are now being forced to wait until at least May as Apple tries to solve its supply issues.

Apple might provide more color on its supply chain problems during Q2 2022 earnings call which is set to take place on Thursday, April 28. In addition to MacBook Pro shipping delays, Apple is also seeing delays for the Mac Studio with M1 Ultra chips, and some Intel-based Mac Pro models.

The MacBook Air, Mac mini, and iMac appear to be readily available, as do Apple's iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches.

Any clue how long the delay will be with the new Studio? For over a month now the expected date, is late June

My MS Monitor with height adjustment has been pushed back two weeks. My Ultra MS (computer) arrived two weeks earlier than expected.

Just had my delivery update from my M1 Max with 10C CPU, 32C GPU, 64GB unified memory and 1TB SSD - ordered 11th Feb, originally due 4th Apr, then 25th Apr, NOW 27th June!!

?

I ordered mine – same configuration as yours – February 9. My original delivery was expected April 5-18, now May 3-10, but it hasn't been updated in a few weeks. Fingers crossed, but if yours has been delayed, there's a good chance mine will be as well.

Cancelled mine and found it in stock at an Apple Reseller here in UK!

Wow, you found a 64GB/1TB configuration in stock? Nice!

I don't know why Apple doesn't make a configuration like that one of their standard builds. The "stock" options are pretty lame, forcing you to have to build-to-order to get a solid future-proof midrange configuration.

This is a white-knuckle ride.

I agree. Why on earth they don't have some higher end in-stock options I don't know. And, yes, I've been pretty lucky to find one in stock - not just one but 25 in the same place! Glad I managed to 'get off the ride' :)

I got tracking from Adorama. My 16 inch Max 64GB/1TB is arriving Monday.
I would recommend people check BHPhoto and Adorama.I would not have checked if it wasn't for this thread and someone else mentioning 3rd party resellers having them. I've been checking BH weekly since March.

Well, it finally happened. Another 6-8 week delay.

I already checked with most Canadian resellers, and found one 64/1TB open box, and one 64/2TB that was about $800 more. (I get an Edu discount.)

I have a working laptop and can wait. It’s just frustrating and disappointing.

This is a white-knuckle ride.

Also ordered the 64GB/1TB config around beginning of April.
Status shows exactly the same as yours with the same arrival date.....not holding my breath......

On March 30, I ordered a 14" base model with an SSD upgrade to 1TB. As of now, Apple still shows the expected delivery date between April 20 and 27, same as when I ordered it.

I know this might get pushed back to May, but for now it's the same as before.

If you order the same model today, the expected delivery date is between June 1 and June 16. Yikes.
I think you cannot get it before WWDC if you don't have it right on your hands now;);)

I ordered a MAX-Out configs 16MBP except a 4TB ssd, waited for 5 weeks. My coworks ordered a same one at the end of 2021 and waited more then 9 weeks.

Mine still showing 4-10 May, but stuck in 'processing' so looks like it will be delayed also......waiting on that dreaded email...

Ordered and paid for my 14” MBP on 18 January - delivery date of 11 to 24 March. Received a notification on 14 March that it was on it’s way but it never came. After numerous calls to Apple and the courier after 3 weeks I was informed that the MBP was officially lost and that I would be in the front of the cue for a replacement - delivery date 29 April to 6 May. Just received an email informing me that there’s a change to my delivery - 21 June to 4 July.:mad:

Ordered my last week and got it yesterday. No buyer's remorse. The screen is gorgeous. 64GB of RAM is sweet. I am hitting 34GB of RAM just running various apps so I am glad I have that headway. I actually like the silver vs dark space gray.

I ordered my 16" MBP with M1 Max on November 30 2021. It has been 24 weeks and no sign of it, not even a projected arrival date. Anyone else waited that long?

This article needs to be updated or a new one posted. This is a major issue for Apple.

FYI, all those expected April deliveries that were pushed to May, just got pushed to June 30. Which at this point, isn't even a real estimate anymore.

Here are my orders for my coworkers and myself:
2021/10/25, MBP14/M1 Pro/32GB/8TB, 2021/11/12, 3 weeks
2021/10/25, MBP16/M1 Max/64GB/4TB, 2021/12/02, 5 weeks
2021/10/25, MBP14/M1 Pro/32GB/1TB, 2021/11/13, 3 weeks

2021/11/08, MBP16/M1 Max/64GB/1TB, 2021/12/17, 5 weeks

2021/12/24, MBP16/M1 Max/64GB/2TB, 2022/2/23, 9 weeks

After the second pair of "hold" payments on my credit card expired yesterday, I got a notification from Apple overnight that there was a problem processing payment on my credit card, which was odd because I had two pending payments before without an issue.

I think the issue was with my Apple Pay. In the time since I placed my order, my credit card had expired, and the Apple Pay account number on my device had changed. Odd that this didn't come up before.

Maybe they're actually trying to charge my card now?

I called them and changed my payment method from Apple Pay to my physical credit card, so now I'm waiting to see what happens.

Order is still "Processing…"

But I did also email Tim Cook yesterday, so maybe that had something to do with it?
