Just curious what the deal is with the Hermes - never asked, always wondered.

Watch faces, bands, 2 year warranty, and Space Black option. That is all there is. That being said its the only version of the Apple Watch that I buy because I love all of those things.
There are 4 Hermės faces that are highly customizable. How many different Hermès watch faces are there? Just wondering, as I think I’ve only ever seen the same one in advertisements.
It should be noted that the Noir face is only available on the space black version of the watch. The other 3 faces are available on both versions. There are 4 Hermės faces that are highly customizable.
Hermės Circuit H
Hermės Ciculaire
Hermės Noir
Hermės (numbered face)
Within each face they are very customizable and the look of each changes depens on the customization being used. Here is my Space Black Series 7 (Circulaire face) with the Series 6 grey band that came with the Black titanium Apple Watch.

I made a post in the Hermes thread some time ago showing the customization options if you are interested. How many different Hermès watch faces are there? Just wondering, as I think I’ve only ever seen the same one in advertisements.
Good call. I'm not a fan of that face as I find it too dark but it is as you pointed out only available for the Space Black. It should be noted that the Noir face is only available on the space black version of the watch. The other 3 faces are available on both versions.

People in very tony stores will treat you nicer if you're wearing one. Pair it with a Birkin bag for maximum effect.
Personally I find the Hermes watch faces are the few that are tasteful. I find many of the standard ones too garish or too busy.
I still wish Apple would open a watch face store or to allow users to truly design their own (not just change colours of existing faces). But honestly, I think that ship has sailed.
Not sure where you're getting this, but Hermes watch bands absolutely are made with the brand's traditional quality and materials. And people with "money to buy a mainstream Hermes product" (as if there is any Hermes product more mainstream at this point than their watch bands) are as inclined to wear Apple Watches as anyone else. This includes those in the fashion industry, by the way -- go to NY Fashion Week for example and you'll see tons of them.Hermes Apple Watches are a pretty bad fashion statement honestly. It's the equivalent of buying a LV phone case (Hermes makes these too) but owning none of their other main products so I highly doubt they use their best materials on watch straps or cases. If you have money to buy a mainstream Hermes product (e.g. leather bag) then you probably aren't wearing an Apple watch with your wardrobe.
There are many watch face apps available that allow you to pick and customize various designs.
There are apps that have real Apple Watch faces...Buddywatch is one. The app doesn't have to be running like with the Clockology app...the Buddywatch faces are simply predesigned, and download directly into the watch app on the phone, or as a file for sharing. But the „watch faces“ you get this way are not real watch faces, they are app screens - with all the disadvantages that this entails.

I don't think there are any actual new faces there - those are just shared personalizations.
Seeing a bit of dislike and general knocking of the Hèrmes AW on here.
What I don't get is that there are few questions over buying an Aluminium watch, so why is it any different those wanting to buy a Hérmes? Surely each to their own?
We are all different, have different wants and needs and priorities. Some people value designer products, others don't. No right or wrong, but no amount of forum posts are going to change the mind of a Hèrmes wearer or an Aluminium wearer or a Stainless wearer.
I happen to enjoy my Hèrmes more than I have enjoyed any other AW I have had, but to others it is no different. I've yet to come across a Hèrmes AW wearer on here that has knocked a Aluminium wearer, so why all the dislike?
I get this is a forum for debate etc, but surely we all will have different views anyway.

There will always be people who feel that whenever a luxury brand name comes into the picture, the price is increased (well) beyond the fair value of the increased quality, features, etc.
I think the best Apple example of this is with the AirTags. Is a Hermes leather AirTag key ring really worth over five times ($349 versus $64) more than an Apple leather AirTag key ring? Obviously, some feel it is but others don't and probably never will.
Of course, "the name" isn't just pure profit to the company. In addition to the added cost of the increased quality and/or features, it can take a lot of money to build and maintain a luxury brand image. It all factors into the pricing.
From a strictly "practical" standpoint, buying a luxury brand product may not be worth it but life isn't always about being strictly practical.
Anyone calling the aluminum Watch a "toy watch" is obviously being a snob. However, I'm not sure the other comments are necessarily criticism in the same way. For example, "scratches easily" is demonstrably true if one is talking about the aluminum watch's glass face as compared to the others that use a crystal face. "Premium feel" is subjective, but not inconsistent with typical perceptions of these materials. People who spend more for a product are also often inclined to attempt to justify their purchase, so you may be seeing some of that as well.My experience of this forum is there is a lot of dislike for the aluminium Apple Watch and I see it all through the Apple Watch section. It’s often criticised as ‘looking cheap’ or resembles a ‘toy watch’ or ‘scratches easily’ or lacks the ‘premium feel’ etc etc. You’re right it is each to their own and there is no right choice as we all value different things, but criticism goes towards the cheaper Apple products on here from the Watch to the iPad through to the iPhone. This thread is inviting opinions though, so it’s great to have yours in favour of a Hermes Watch, just as it is those who don’t see the value in it.

My view, FWIW, is that the aluminum AW looks great, even though I find myself more drawn to others.
The only real complaint I have for the aluminium models is the glass. This alone drove me back to SS this year.Anyone calling the aluminum Watch a "toy watch" is obviously being a snob.
