I would definitely take it back; it could be a manufacturing defect. Mine bent cause I may have sat on it on numerous occasions lol. My friend who works at apple said to bring it in and he'll switch it anytime. But you can always call Apple support; I'm sure if you sent photos to them as proof, they may send you a new one; ask for a supervisor if they won't comply.

NAH, I don't see any bend. You may wanna recheck that yourself.

SERIOUSLY??? After all this bend media on the internet? OKAYYY. :p

If you didn't read the title, it's not a 6 plus (which I know i would not be the only one with) but rather a 6, where I didn't see anything about it either being bent oder dented. If you did I'd like to see where.

Obviously you didn't even read my post. Where did I mention the iPhone 6 Plus? Bend media is media, people have mentioned the 6 as well. I've seen a 6 bent in person.

According to some tests, the iPhone 6 plus is supposedly stronger than the regular 6. So it is out of the question rather or not it's a plus.

Looks like a dent or a slight warp to me.

Try this, OP.

Set your phone screen down on a flat surface, and just tap around the phone edges.
If it doesn't wabble at all, it's a dent or something. If it does, even a little, bent.

Now, whether or not you want to take it back is up to you.

"After all this bend media on the internet?" - I took that as if you meant 6 AND 6 plus. I didn't want to be rude or anything, but I think the plus got a little more coverage than the 6.

Well anyways, i know I'm quite picky but I just want a device without any issues.

I can see the bend. Right where the metal meets the glass around the volume buttons you can see it pretty blatantly. It's not extremely severe but that would still be exchange territory for me.

Op id recommend not listening to the people accusing you of dropping it (pretty clear it's in excellent shape save for the bend).

Take it back, you can either mention the bend or just get a refund. With some people being rejected because of the bend id probably get a refund and then go buy another one later if I wanted it. Just to be sure. I wouldn't even mention the bend.

It might be a good idea to rule out a dent and do what a different poster suggested by laying it flat on the screen and pressing the corners to check for wobble. I don't think it looks like a dent but might as well make sure.

Thanks, I just did that and it does wobble or more like make a slight click when I push at the height of the volume rockers on each side. It doesn't do so when I tap at the bottom part.

And I will, I just wanted the problem to be out there.I wanted to know if maybe some has the same issue or I'm the only one.

I don't think so, first times that i have heard of a bend iPhone 6;)

Exactly, because being dishonest and immoral is not nearly as bad as the people who are accusing the OP of dropping it.

If you phone really was bent from being in your front pocket in a case for two hours...them must be some seriously tight pants...

I mean really...

When I finally received my new iPhone 6 after way too long of a wait (preordered 12th September, shipped on 2nd October) I was extremely happy with it.

That changed quite suddenly a few moments ago. When I had a quick look at my phone, which was in the original Apple Leather Case since I got it, I noticed it having a slight bend but wasn't sure if it was the case or the phone. So I took the phone out of the case and what do you know.... it's bent. Ever so slightly, but definitely noticeable. I've uploaded a picture so you can see for yourselves. It's also very clear in the picture that it bends upwards, not downwards, which I think is weird since all the other iPhones had an downward bend (I think).

I only had it in my front pocket for at most 2 hours since the day it arrived (YESTERDAY).
As you might imagine I'm quite upset. I'm going to contact Apple asap tomorrow (it's 10.30 pm here) to find out what I'm supposed to do.

I'd just like to know if any of you have the same problem with your iPhone 6 (not plus).

Nice photoshop. lmao. JK. That does suck though. I can totally see what your talking about.

People really need to calm down about accusing others of abusing the device without any evidence. In this case, the supposed ding in the vibration button is quite clearly the reflection of an overhead light positioned to the upper left of the device.

I think what we're seeing here is a case of some manufacturing defects -- either the phone was slightly bent when it shipped from the factory, or perhaps there's an issue with some batteries overheating and warping the aluminum. A rate of up to 2% of new devices shipping with a defect is not uncommon with consumer electronics, and it just seems worse with an Apple device because the immense volume of sales means that a larger number of people will inevitably receive a defective unit. A few days ago there was a story about a Note 4 that had a large gap between the screen and the aluminum side, and HTC had a number of issues with early M7 & M8 units having speaker grilles that weren't flush with the screen. It happens; that's why there's a 14-day return window and a 12 month (or more) warranty.

To the OP: If you have an Apple Store nearby, I'd just take it there and explain the situation, and emphasize that you haven't abused the phone whatsoever. Unless you closely examined the phone when you got it, it might have been bent the whole time and you just now noticed.

Haha, they were not that tight, I can guarantee that :D

As I said before I think it might not have happened while using or carrying it but rather be a manufacturing defect.

Simple. Because you've started a thread about it (that was basically clickbait) and have now spread this information in at least two others without offering any proof. Spreading disinformation is going to get challenged no matter where you do it. Either show us some pictures of your supposedly bent phone or stop making bogus claims.

Agree with this. I don't doubt that some people's phones have bent but you should provide some photos so that people aren't quick to not believe you. Just show some photos to get some honest opinions in return

If you look at the lower volume button, you can see the bend.

I agree, could be a factory defect.
The thing is that it's just annoying that this can and does happen every once in a while...

Nevermind!

I'm going to call AppleCare first since it's a bit of way drive to the next store.

That's the problem, I didn't inspect it, I put it in the case straight away. Probably would have missed it if I would not taken it out of the case a few moments ago.

How is that being immoral? If apple doesn't regard it as an issue worthy of replacement surely they don't regard it as a defect or an issue? You are merely returning a functioning phone then no?

I've read a couple people on here already that apple refused to replace their bent phones and told them to get apple care and pay 180 dollars for a refurb. I wouldn't chance that.

take a picture of the whole thing.

for all we know it could be slightly angled.

what is it perched on? A samurai sword holder or what?

Initially, I couldn't see any bends on the phone but if you take the picture and try to align the top of the phone flush against the menu border of your browser, the bend is very pronounced.

I see it. More like a ding instead of a bend.
