I'll be selling off my unlocked iPhone 4 32GB in a few weeks and will time it before the announcement just like when I sold off my iPhone 3G 16GB for AU$450 and my iPhone 3GS for AU$710 on eBay. I don't want to have a museum of iPhones, especially at AU$1,000 each roughly - too much money tied up in phones. During my "transition" period after the sale of the iPhone 4 I'll use my unlocked brand new Nokia 6700 slide as an interim phone until the iPhone 5 is released.

Not until the ip5 is released and in my hand. Then I'll sell my ip4.

The problem with this idea is you get less value, so your better selling the iPhone 4 before the announcement, otherwise after the iPhone 5 is announced eBay will the the dumping ground for so many your maximum value will drop. Always better to get in beforehand before everyone else has the same idea.

I waited until after the announcement, I sold mine and my wife's and I turned a profit on them.
