Let’s put it this way, Apple Car was cancelled, Apple Vision Pro won’t be updated for AT LEAST 2 years, and the MicroLED Apple Watch Ultra was cancelled. What does that leave Apple to release? The SAME BS they have produced, Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches,AirPods. All of these will have minor updates just as they have EVERY year. iPhones with slightly improved cameras, a new color or two, and adding a button. Ooo “new” iPads with improved screens! Macs with faster processors that can’t be user upgradable!
Entertain me. Entertain me, now!

That “BS” is what pays for the new gambles. Sometimes, those gambles pan out, like iPad, Watch, AirPods, and sometimes they don’t like the car. A lot of people are waiting for updated product because they will be significant improvements for them. If you don’t upgrade yearly, you get a much bigger bump when you do. I’ve got a 2018 iPad Pro that might be getting replaced this year and I expect that new one to be noticeably better.

Oxygen -> Vision Pro <- Oxygen

(expect less from Apple whilst their engineers are working on the AVP)
Point well taken ! The iPhone
Has suffered with what I would call minimalistic improvement perhaps because of project Titan or AVP
NOW THAT Titan is dead and the top minds are available again let’s see if there is a major improvement to the iPhone

Been waiting for this for a while. Can't wait to buy the new iPad Pro 11 just for the landscape camera - one of the reasons I don't use my 2020 iPad Pro as that makes me look goofy in landscape mode!

I’m tired of my palm blocking the FaceID sensor.

New Apple Studio Display stand with felt on the underside of base--just 2,990.00.

On a more serious note--and for the most selfish of reasons (I just recently surrendered/purchased a MacMini M2Pro and ASD)--I think I would've been completely exasperated if a 27' iMac M3 was on the list of pending products.

Yes, the most valuable company on Earth with the highest rate of consumer satisfaction of any company in existence, is dying.

Are you high or something?
I could be wrong, but I think Microsoft is the most valuable company right now.

BTW, I agree with you that non sense to think Apple is dying.

Wake me when I can run MacOS apps on the top-tier iPads. There is no reason why this couldn't be done, other than Apple's insistence to try to gouge the faithful of every last dollar.
exactly.

i dont want to continue to have this duality of both a mac and an iPad.
iOS/iPadOS is a great operating platform. it could easily handle all the heavy lifting now done on macs.

apple, its gotten very tiring. long past time.

figure into the average price of iPads whatever profit you are achieving across consumer level macs, and be done with it.

new Keyboard needs to be for both iPad Pro and the iPad Air.
raise prices.
but make it have a great trackpad with great input capability for both touch screen input as well as trackpad / keybaord inout.

just do it.

apple, making Fine Woven cases and keychains maybe good for the planet (although im not sure about that...).
but what i know is that needing two separate devices when one could be used, now that im sure is not good for the planet.

I'm not sure it's dying, but it's definitely becoming uninspiring.

There's no intrigue, no wonder, no anticipation, no... event.

Ever since Covid, there just seems to be no excitement coming from this company...
That’s true.

In other news Sony will be breaking the game wide open with the WH-1000XM6 headphones at some point in the next 2-3 years that will still be marginally better than the XM4.

And Samsung will inspire us all with a titanium skinned refrigerator.

Apple are soooo lacklustre. Perspective people...

no but I am and it's grrrrrrreat

and even my high af ass knows Apple is absolutely thriving....people just get upset when a multi-trillion dollar company doesn't do exactly what 1 customer wants for that customer's entire life.

Apple is literally one of the only companies who hasn't joined the race to the bottom and still makes quality products. Let's enjoy that.

Personally, I don't have an issue with press releases. Whether its a spec bump or complete redesign.

It's generally accepted by 100% of users that hardware is not the issue. Software is. Even if the iPad Pro comes with the most impressive spec sheet, iPadOS 17 is still blocking the product that the 13" MacBook Air can do. [for the same price]

We could be in another M1 iPad scenario, where it all comes down to WWDC in June. iPadOS 18 being the real deal and the iPad Pro that comes after [2025] is where we get the event.
Unless they do something special for these iPad Pros and turn them into macOS machines once in keyboard mode…that would be a great direction to go in.

Praying to God they give us a new Mini but it doesn't sound like it's happening

Everyone else is praying for some other new version of a Mac I feel like they'll maybe do a summer update for those. Maybe WWDC for some Mac updates, an iPad Mini, and an Apple TV. Some of those at WWDC, some at the iPhone event.

So boring. Every year is the same thing, on the same schedule.

Are you sure you're not projecting your own "boring" life on to a company ? It's not specific to Apple but their job is to create products and services that people will actually buy. Flip phones created buzz and headlines but I'm willing to bet you didn't actually buy one. Windows notebooks have all sorts of wonky "new" form factors, like dual screens, but I'm willing to bet you passed on those as well. Even the buzzy generative AI that make for entertaining demos probably isn't something you actually use each day or spend money on. Vision Pro is new but I'm guessing you didn't buy that either. People on MR were all demanding a beast of a Mac Pro with a gazillion cores but I'll bet that most disappointed comments were from people are not actually in the market for a $8K+ Mac Pro. Just forum comments from people looking for interesting YouTube and blog content to distract from a mundane life. First world problems.

iPhone SE (2nd gen) was in March 2020
iPhone SE (3rd gen) was in March 2022

so I expect 4th gen this month. The current SE is like iPhone 7-8 body and no one is going to buy that. Apple is already losing on iPhone sales growth and there are many good and cheap android devices now (compared to SE; for people who want cheaper phones). So it makes sense to announce a new SE really soon.

I am still on 12 mini and if the new SE is small, I would jump on it and upgrade. Really hope its not a 6.1" screen (even though most people in Asia want big phones, which is the SE market I think).

Might end up with an M3 powered iPad Pro 11 at some point, but I'm still really happy with the M1. I've been considering one with a cellular modem though

kinda hoping for a HomePod with a screen, improved Siri (GPT).

Then I can ditch Alexa and her annoying suggestions and US bias.

Not happening in March. That is 100% certain.

Perhaps later in the year though.
