Are you sure you're not projecting your own "boring" life on to a company ? It's not specific to Apple but their job is to create products and services that people will actually buy. Flip phones created buzz and headlines but I'm willing to bet you didn't actually buy one. Windows notebooks have all sorts of wonky "new" form factors, like dual screens, but I'm willing to bet you passed on those as well. Even the buzzy generative AI that make for entertaining demos probably isn't something you actually use each day or spend money on. Vision Pro is new but I'm guessing you didn't buy that either. People on MR were all demanding a beast of a Mac Pro with a gazillion cores but I'll bet that most disappointed comments were from people are not actually in the market for a $8K+ Mac Pro. Just forum comments from people looking for interesting YouTube and blog content to distract from a mundane life. First world problems.
you seem triggered by Apple being a boring company. Look at their lineup, how can anyone say there's any excitement? Replace with new CPU every year! WOW, big deal. Rest of the product is exact the same. I did buy and return AVP. In no shape or form is it worth $4k. What else is exciting? iPhone? Same design for the last 6 years is exciting? iPad? They don't ever bother to make any changes to iPad OS. Look at Apple Watch. Stagnant last 5 generations. They are all exactly the same. Say what you want about Samsung or other manufactures, at least they are trying to push the boundaries of technologies and maybe one or two things will stick. Unlike Apple just happily sells the same product year after year because it knows it can count on i-worshippers to buy anything. They will just keep milking the same cows over and over.

Why would I want an M3 Ipad Pro instead of an M2 Ipad Air? Thoughts?
Three things may make a difference in your decision. Do you care about an OLED screen that’s as bright as the old mini-LED screen? Do you care for a new Apple Pencil that will accompany the landscape camera on the Pro, but not the Air? Finally, do you plan to play games on the iPad that rely on raytracing like Resident Evil Village/4? If you don’t care about any of those, just get the M2 Air, though it’ll continue to have an LCD screen at 60Hz.

For me, I don’t care about the camera placement nor the Apple Pencil. Nor do I play games very much, but I do care about the OLED screens. That would prompt me to buy the pro. I bought the 2021 iPad Pro because of its mini-LED screen rather than having an LCD. What is important to you?

Why doesn’t the MacBook Air get an M3 chip?
What makes you think it won’t? The only uncertainty is when it comes out. Maybe you’re thinking iPad Air? The question is whether that will get the M2 or M3.

Ready for a new pro(12.9). Love my m1 1tb….but the battery life isn’t the best. Hoping oled screen and m3 will improve battery.

The Mac Mini M2 Pro is powerful and fast enough. How fast do you need it? Lol. It’s more powerful than the M3 IMac. I just bought the mini m2 pro and I absolutely love it. I’m glad I didn’t wait around. It’s the best computer I’ve ever had.
No doubt, but I expect the base M3 to be cheaper than the M2 pro. I'm semi-retired now, so on a budget.

And what about usb c magic accessories? I don’t wanna keep these lightning cables around for 2 dumb things
Yeah, it almost feels like they forgot about these. I have a Bluetooth Magic Keyboard that’s been on its last legs for a while now, and I was really hoping that they’d be announced last fall. I’d love to replace my keyboard but not if a USB-C version is right around the corner.

Core Apple products like iPhones, iPads and Macbooks feel lifeless these days. Even with solid hardware, the software just feels limited compared to what Android does when it comes to Ease of Life features.

An M3 iPad “Pro” that can’t support proper display extension, let alone dual monitor output. “Pistol whip users into Stage Manager.” Yeah, no thanks. It’s a total bummer too, because the iPad Pro could be an amazing 2 in 1 for 97.3% of people.

„A new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro with a larger trackpad, a partially-aluminum enclosure, and other design tweaks“ - USB-C?

Is it an age thing that I don’t really care anymore? When I was a student like 10 years ago, it bothered me when I didn’t have the latest Apple tech. At this point I am not even sure if I have a Series 6 or 7 Apple Watch 😅

You may be the target audience for the “Boomer’s Delight” aka AVP.

My '18 12.9 iPP is brilliant hardware and now would be a good time to upgrade to these new models.
But iPadOS. 😒

Currently have 2018 iPad Pro 12.9” 512GB, love it. Not sure whether to upgrade this year or the next update. Will wait on spec details and go from ther.

So this is how it's going to be?

You go to the Apple site, and you have a choice to watch the video or just go straight to the store. No need to wait till the end of the advertisement (while the store is down). :)

I must say this is rather unusual for a major product release with apparently, substantial design changes.
