I wear my Apple Watch Ultra with the Yellow Ocean Band. Does it match my dress? Nope… does it match my shoes nope… however it is eye-catching and the yellow band stands out. People automatically knows it’s from Apple.
Rumor has it that the launch will feature Coldplay singing Yellow.
Yellow, as a pop of colour, is really nice to accentuate most outfits. Doesn't have to 'go' per se – contrast is good.
Same goes for orange.
I don’t match my watch to my attire. I pretty much wear all dark colors (black, navy, grey). So my pops of color come from (typically) shoes and/or watch bands.
But I never wear yellow pants or shirts. Some peeps can pull off yellow. I am not one of them. 😜

They weren’t. Except for the first one which wasn’t all-black, iPhones came in at least two colors.
Note to self. Always wait for mid product cycle to buy a new iPhone so I don't miss out on any cool colors in the future.

Agreed! But the OCD and Pre-ordering new iPhone kicks in so that’s very hard to avoid. Apple needs to drop cool colors for the iPhone Pro line up during September tho.
Lol. Do people really even attempt to match their phone to their outfit? Some people just buy a phone in a color, because they like that color. I've literally never in my life thought: "that phone color totally clashes with those shoes". Who does that?!
The fact that people are reading, and commenting on, a color change article is the reason why it is a big news item.
Why do people struggle with this... the point of this refresh mid-cycle is just to boost sales before the 15 comes around. How to boost sales? Publicity. How to get publicity? Press briefing.
I had the iPhone 11 in yellow until I updated to the 13 in blue. Liked it because not many people had it

The yellow XR is the only iPhone I've ever returned due to not liking the color. It was another example of Apple using a level of saturation appropriate to a "luxury" product. They're apparently only brave enough to do an interesting red, so that's what I went with.
