That picture is kinda racist.
Wait! How is it racist? 😒 It’s a yellow iPhone being shown. Do you want someone wearing a pink outfit showing a yellow iPhone? What am I missing? 🤨

I’m not sure but I think i have a thought.
And also, my next sentence here on this forum, is NOT what I think or believe in…
But this come from a long time ago, (18th century) Asian people was called yellow for their skin tone.

I despite it and I don’t agree at all. But this is what I’m guessing of this.

My phone could be wrapped in 24K gold or in cardboard and I’d never know it because you have to keep a case on the thing to have any kind of grip.

Unfortunately the term is still prevalent in society today.

Regardless, today brands need to be aware and sensitive with culturally appropriate marketing.
I hope and don't think it was done on purpose.
But just as you probably wouldn't have an indigenous person holding a red iPhone, they might have been better to not use an asian person holding a yellow phone. It would eliminate any accusations of being racist.

Seems to me like that user was making a joke in calling it racist, but I guess they can confirm/deny that.
