Damn'it I haven't been paying attention to this thread even close to as much as I should... I jumped on the Space Black back in September, because I knew that model would be the dream to me... I'm a watch guy, so It would really need to be nice to make it in the battle with my mechanical watches. As it turns out, I really never use the mechanical watches any more - My Apple Watch is on my wrist all the time - Work days it's awesome to keep me in touch and on schedule, and during weekends and evenings, it's making me put my phone away more, and still know whats happening.

At the moment I'm pretty much in love with my 3rd party link bracelet (the more dressy looking) and the brown leather for weekends and non-business use :)

Is that the moko steel band?

Yes it is... Had the Hoco which worked nicely until the adaptor one morning broke, so hope this will hold up longer...

Still looking for a thick nice black leather band as well, to go with the more formal look of white shirts etc.

Maybe a 3rd party leather loop or two, but seems like there is a lot of crap out there, so not sure about those

Thanks. From what I've seen, most of the 3rd party leather loops either have weak magnets or fall apart. I'm still looking for one also.

It took me about a week of daily searching and reading reviews, but I decided on a 3rd party leather loop seller.

I bought two more, soon after, and I now have 3 altogether. Quite satisfied with the look. $18 each.

I did do some extra upkeep though. Bought some Kiwi leather conditioner from target, and applied it to the loops. Blue one softened noticeably. Applied one coat to beige loop. It made little difference. Went back and applied 1 and a half more coats to that one, and applied two coats to my red one. All 3 have become noticeably softer. In comparison, the blue one seemed softer after the treatment than the other ones after their treatments. The blue one may have seemed much softer because I wore it at least 5 times before using the conditioning treatment. The beige one had been worn once, for a few hours and the red one hadn't been worn at all. I probably need to wear them more and they will break-in.

I think they'll hold up now, considering the treatments seemed to have worked and the fibers have gotten stronger.

DKP, has any paint come off the bracelet?

Thanks - your loops look great! The biggest issue seem to be that the leather let go of the adapters after a while - How much have you worn the most used one?

No pain has come of at all - looks awesome :)

Thanks. There's a noticeable difference from when I got them. They were a bit harder, but they've softened. As I understand it, the conditioner makes the fibers more flexible. So, it might have enough stretch to it to overcome that issue.

I've worn the blue one around 10 times. All have strong magnets.

It's probably going to come down to me either getting the Moko or going for the real thing. Looked at the 4th gen replicas, but they'd have to come from overseas. I can just imagine the nightmare now, if it gets over here and falls apart right in my hands. After a 2 week wait too.

At least with Moko, they've got nice support.

Yeah I chose the MoKo because of the availability on Amazon UK (tax with import is a nightmare here in Denmark) and because of the review and support. A guy were unlucky and got it replaced very fast.

Must say it looks awesome, so can only recommend - use it 90% of the time :)

Could you drop a link to your leather loops? Might jump on a few and try them out and buy some conditioner.

Yeah, I saw some customers say that Moko contacted them about issues after they posted about problems with the band.

Link to loop seller is: http://m.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Leath...-For-Watch-38mm-42mm-/381359923558?nav=SEARCH

Just know he lies about being in NJ. I initially ordered from him because I heard he was one of the good sellers, and I'm in NJ. He apparently ships from China to NJ and then to location. Not sure if he would just ship straight to Denmark, in your situation.

Clockwork Synergy heavy duty nato band came in today. Absolutely awesome. For and finish is spectacular.

Looks awesome mate, although not sure if it's the picture, but looks like you mounted it a bit tight...

How do you like wearing it compared to the sport?

There's no in between with this band. It's either one to big or one to small. It's not tight at all. I like it better than sports band. This one breathes well.

I prefer my bands firmly secured like that. Don't like things sliding around my arm.

In my opinion, it's the most comfortable, best fitting band I own. The connectors are very secure also.

I'm a weird guy when it comes to comfortability. Most of the time, I don't care. The only bands that were slightly noticeable for me were the Clockwork Synergy NATO straps, because the underside of the strap didn't seem a little abrasive and would rub up against your skin. This changed with more though.
[doublepost=1457378430][/doublepost]Since I'm already in here, I'll post what just arrived. I know a few people were interested in the Arrow and Board bands. I had reached out to them last week to ask about the proper conditioning treatment for them. They recommended me something called Chamberlain's Leather Milk, and here it is:

It smells really good. They said it would have an almond scent to it. If you've ever smelled almond extract, that's exactly what this smells like. Happens to be one of my favorite cooking ingredients, so I'm going to LOVE this. It's a faint smell, but it's there :D

I posted everything in another thread. I'm going to move that post here, because people with a Space Black watch would be the most interested in a space black link bracelet.

Got the 4th gen link. Just opened it, put it on and already have a problem :/

Put it on the first time, everything was fine. I just needed to take it back off to remove links. Took out about 6-7 links in all. Taking it off for the 2nd time (had to put back in 1 link), was a little more work. When I was putting it back on, one of the black bumpers (there is one on either side of the button that clicks into the watch) seemed like it was a little higher, because I was sliding both sides of the band in, and on the one side this bumper was on, the watch seemed to be bumping into the bumper instead of sliding over the bumper, like usual.

It appears it came off. I put it on the white box and took a picture. However, I slid the band right in afterwards and it seemed everything was fine. Things clicked with no issue. Not sure if it's really going to be a problem. Thinking I should just contact the seller about it to be safe

As for the other problems people have mentioned with the 4th gen, I don't seem to have them. Some have mentioned the clasp not closing easily, but it's closing very easily on mine. No more force than a little press.

Some have also shown a video where the band could be pulled apart at the detachable links. Don't know what possessed the guy to try that. Anyways, I tried it on my band, and it wasn't happening.

There is one little dent on one of the links. 5th picture, 8th link down, on the right side. Doesn't even really look like one unless you look very closely.

There are small gaps. The most noticeable gap is between the first link that connects to the end, which connects to the watch.

Looks like they sent it in a white box as to not excite the feds :p

I previously owned the SS42mm. I sold it as I wasn't getting the most of the watch and wasn't even wearing it some days so I couldn't justify keeping it.

Recently I have been working out every single day and I missed some type of device that could keep me in line and give me some statistical feedback. Researched FitBits and other fitness bands and they are all just so ugly and didn't want to have to utilize 2 devices to switch in and out.

I have a close relative that wants an AW for their birthday so I wanted to surprise them and get a used model in perfect shape. Found a great seller and watch here on the forums and picked up a 42mm Space Black for them. After seeing some pics and watching some videos, it is a very sleek, sexy watch that I may keep for myself and get them a sport model as they don't care what color or option it is.

I am glad to be part of the Space Black club and now to get some good looking bands that go with the black versus the stainless steel I had previously had and sold all my bands. I was wondering about the classic leather from apple in brown but the chrome fittings might turn me off.

Anyways, looking forward to participating here and getting feedback.

If you want a nice brown leather band, I really recommend Arrow and Board. They've got a few shades of brown and you can get the band made with black adapters and buckles. I bought a couple bands from them and posted pictures in here. They should be on page 18 or 17.

Welcome (back) on board :) I've been in love with the space black since I saw the very first pictures back in 2014, but waited till it was available in Denmark (witch happened to be at the same time Apple paired it with the black sports band)... Have loved it ever since. Love it with my black MoKo link (looks identical to Apples) and some nice brown leathers

It's nice to hear you missed it :) you won't regret keeping that watch. I had a stainless one before, and while I really liked it, I wanted the SB from the start. I still inspect it daily, dreading to see a scratch. I have the space black with link bracelet and NOT A SCRATCH TO BE SEEN on either! I really enjoy the product.
