honestly i love the watch, i'm just regretting not going with the Space Black. Only after getting the watch & realizing that Space Grey doesn't come as close to my Space Grey iPhone 6s plus as i would like. but when it comes to 599 vs 399.... i'm fine with my choice lol

You can easily get a mint space black 42mm with sport band via cowboom for $300 or below. I have scored two at different times listed as "fair" condition but both were mint complete with all accessories & original box. There is no risk as you can send back with a pre-paid shipping label as well. Sold my 1st, made a $100 kept the 2nd so paid $200, no complaints :).

they are always sold out when i check up there. i guess i'll have to look for one with an applecare warranty on it & then sell mine.

A lot of people grabbed theirs while it was the $100 off sale.

to be honest, if it wasn't for me trading in a iphone 6 & paying the difference of the two, i wouldn't even own the watch lol. maybe on the second go around i'll spring the big bucks for the space black
There you go! Be happy with your space grey. They're awesome watches and do the exact same thing as the space black! Glad you're here

Just curious if any of you have leather (brown) bands that were a reasonable price.

Depends what you find reasonable, I guess.

I've got one that I paid $40 for and another I paid $90. I've got no concerns about the $90 one holding up. The other one, I'm not sure.

It just occurred to me that I should post these pictures in here too...

I know I was looking at the Nomad band a while ago, but thought it was too expensive for what it is. Some guy on here was saying they used to go for $70, so if they're going for over $150 now, that says something...greedy, greedy, greedy.

Stumbled across the Arrow and Board brand a couple weeks ago, thanks to another user here. They actually seem to market their line with the Space Black and Gold models in mind.

Pulled the trigger on a band last week. They're made-to-order in Texas and shipped out. I'm in Jersey. Ordered the Friday before last, and received it last Thursday. Got the Desert Tan with black adapters and black buckles.

Very satisfied. I recommend them. They sell bands in 3 different shades of brown and also in black. There are also customizable buckle/adapter options. Ended up ordering a stealthy, all-black one for my on-call night shifts as batman ;)

Nice combo iPhoneissues, I am hunting down the perfect brown mix of dark brown with thick black threading and black buckle. I like the Pad & Quill stuff.

A lot of NJ representation in this thread.

Did you check out their site? They have a couple of brown shades darker than the one I've displayed up there. Wonder if you'd be able to get them to use a little black thread for just a little more. I've spoken to customer service a few times and they seem like nice people.

Just a follow up. I looked on their site, and they do use black thread on some bands. I'm sure you could request the black thread on one of those darker brown shades, that is, if one of those shades happen to be one you like.

Also, ordered something else from them last week. A charcoal black band with black adapters and buckles. It's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Wasn't going to post pictures, but I will if somebody wants me to.

Sweet! Thanks, need to go look again. Photos are always welcome

Just don't like being the only one posting pictures for a while, you know?

Usual packaging. Nice presentation.

Can confirm that the stitching is black.

Always like showing Mickey on the black bands because of him being centered in the glow on the black background.

I may have missed this, but do you have the link to that band?

Just out of curiosity I purchased one of the 3rd party steel bands and damn do I love it. 98gr of 316L stainless steel for 28 bucks. Brand is Simpeak. Going to get one of those Arrow & Board bands next though.

Both of those bands look great, iphoneissues and count Dooku!! I'm liking these custom leather ones I'm learning about.

I also ordered a heavy duty NATO band from clockworksynergy. I'll post it when I receive it in the mail. Looks like the leather one posted.

I bought another band from the same company and posted it higher on the page.

Here you go: http://arrowandboard.com

And some nice pictures to look at : https://www.instagram.com/arrowandboard/

Came much quicker than I expected. Said it could take about a week to be made.

First time, I ordered Friday. They made it and shipped out on Sunday. Received it Thursday.

Second time, ordered Friday. Shipped out on Tuesday. Got it on Thursday.

I'm all the way up in Jersey, and they're in Texas.

I love that band.

Very satisfied with them both.

Be sure to post the clockwork synergy. I've got 2 bands from those guys.

They're a good investment. Keep things clean and conservative for work. The go nicely with some casual wear. A nice patina, as a reward for racking up those hours of wear. I may have just become one of those people who rarely change bands, besides these two. ;)

How is the finish on the black watches holding up over time? I'm thinking about black for my next Apple Watch, whenever that is.

My dial has s spot on it. Other than that the finish is as good as new. Two months old.

Had mine since the end of June last year, still looks like new - really impressed with the finish and its durability.

Damn'it I haven't been paying attention to this thread even close to as much as I should... I jumped on the Space Black back in September, because I knew that model would be the dream to me... I'm a watch guy, so It would really need to be nice to make it in the battle with my mechanical watches. As it turns out, I really never use the mechanical watches any more - My Apple Watch is on my wrist all the time - Work days it's awesome to keep me in touch and on schedule, and during weekends and evenings, it's making me put my phone away more, and still know whats happening.

At the moment I'm pretty much in love with my 3rd party link bracelet (the more dressy looking) and the brown leather for weekends and non-business use :)
