I just finished reading through the 19 pages and some great info in here. I won't be getting the black link as I had the apple link and it was beautiful but scratched pretty easily. It was also too heavy for my liking in everyday use. I like the look of the classic buckle from apple in black and brown but those fittings would need to be replaced. I like your bands as well.

I really did. I didn't think I would as much as I did even when I didn't wear it for a while. Now going on 2 full months without one I feel as if I shouldn't have been without one from the beginning. I really miss my notifications on my wrist and loved the fitness aspect on my runs for HR and distance information.

Now I need to pair up some band shopping and can't wait for it to get here. I am just hoping that the 2nd version doesn't come out for a while and make me buy another one. :)

I originally bought a 42mm silver sport at launch. After almost a year of banging it around, the scratches I had accumulated on the screen were making me nuts and I regretted not getting the sapphire screen. So, I sold my sport on eBay and found a Space Black stainless on Craigslist for $400. It included all the packaging and accessories, an extra sport band, and AppleCare+ until October 2017. To make the deal even sweeter, the watch had just been replaced by Apple a few days prior (manufacturing defect, not an AC+ claim). It is mint and I love it!

I was never really sold on the sport, it just never felt "worth it." But the quality and craftsmanship of the steel watch just feels incredible. I know they carry a $200 premium, but I think it's a big difference for the money. My only complaint is that I wish it came with the charging box like the edition does.

Any recommendations on the best third party black link bracelet?

I just got a 3rd party 4th gen link bracelet this past weekend. Had a little issue with it, but it still works fine...

Was reading back through the thread and wasn't sure if my review made the answer to this clear.

The issue doesn't cause the watch to slide at all.

I've worn the band for most of this past week (got the band on Saturday and it's now the following Friday). While wearing it all day, and sleeping in it a few times, I've had absolutely no problems.

I think I now understand why some people go on and on about the link bracelet now. This is a replica, but it looks so good with the watch.

Look at the pictures I posted on page 19.

It's not an official release. It's a 3rd party band. I assume each "generation" was an attempt by 3rd party manufacturers to mimic the design of the official link bracelet from Apple. Each generation gets closer to the real look.

So what does Team Space Black think will be great additions to our band arsenal?

Really loving the storm gray leather loop and classic buckle. Would probably need adapters but these caught my eye instantly.
 
I didn't know there were new leather loops. Kind of interested in seeing the white or storm gray on this watch.

What vexes me a tad is that you can see in the link below, for the black nato band, it has a black classic buckle. You know they can make black adapters because of the Space Black Milanese (as if anybody really assumed they couldn't, lol), so where in the hell is the classic buckle with black ornaments?? 9 classic buckles now and not ONE has black ornaments :mad:

Only bands I'm really interested in at all are the white leather loop and that yellow sport band.

I'm not a SS Black owner, I have SG Sport. But just as an FYI to those of you thinking about the Apple SB Milanese Loop I found it very pricey. At the start of Feb I found a 3rd party black Milanese Loop on Amazon for C$50. I ordered it and have been using it daily. It is admittedly not quite as nice as the Apple ML (My wife has the original Apple ML) but it looks fine and so far I've had no issue with the finish at all. By comparison Apple's is C$279 in Canada.

Yup, I've got a black milanese already too. Both are 316L steel, so I've got no reason to go for the Apple one, because I don't care for DLC-coated mesh.

I don't even remember which one I ordered now. It was on Amazon and arrived in 2 days. It was under $50 Canadian. It feels fine on it's own but it is definitely not as thick as my wife's Apple Silver ML band. That aside, it does the job just fine for me. I like wearing it. I just ordered 2 more colored ML's from Amazon. Looks like maybe a different supplier than last time but only this one offered so many colors. Apparently already shipped but must be coming surface mail form China because estimated delivery is April 18 - May 4 ! Still can't wait. Ordered a blue ML and a gold ML to go with the new Sport Gold watch that is supposed to arrive on Thursday.

Any more people here order any bands since the keynote? I just picked up the SB Milanese on Apple.com. Should get here Friday!

I love the SS Milanese so I know this will be perfect for me. I can't wait! It's a great edition to the lineup.

You sure about Friday? Isn't Good Friday a holiday just about everywhere?

I ordered one too RIGHT when the store came back online. Tracking information came online earlier today showing it will be here Thursday afternoon. Being that I am impatient I have also checked my local store to see if they have received any...and they have not.

From pictures, it looks amazing! I cannot wait

Mine is still showing "preparing for shipping" but also in stock regular shipping for delivery Mar. 24. I've always trusted Apple's estimates but I am getting a bit anxious. Kind of suspect the tracking info will go up overnight and I'll see it in the morning. Then again some items I don't see anything until the afternoon before it arrives when it is scanned at our local UPS terminal.

Uhoh! That will really stink! I'll see whentracking shows up.
And just a nylon- I can't wait to see those in store. My girlfriend would like a pink one so we're going to go look Friday hopefully.

Let us know how you like yours when it comes in. Which color did you go with?
 
One question if I may regarding the Space Black watch

Can anyone tell me if they have scratched their watch case and silver has shone through? Is the case only top coated and the silver is underneath?

Think if that happened a few times it would drive me nuts but thought I'd ask first
