The Loop has been my favorite from the beginning. My worry is that it looks like our selection has been greatly reduced. My daily favorite is the Storm Grey loop with the Black stainless. :)

Pics? I have a red band I'm going to try out.

I used the same logic when I finally bought my SBSS. I have owned an SG Watch Sport for a year, so I decided to go for the SS model this time around. If AW3 has some stunning new feature I can't live without, I can rotate back to the SG Aluminum model again to save a little money. :D

The Black Leather loop and SB SS does look stunning! My pictures do not do it justice.

Yeah. I had the Space Gray Sport like yourself that I purchased a year ago. To be honest there wasn't a real reason to upgrade. I did it on impulse. I originally wanted the Nike version then saw that Stainless black and said I'd go that route. (Couldn't really decide) Figured if I was going to upgrade I'd go all out. I like the fact that it's waterproof, other than that aw I don't know.
Next year I doubt I'd buy another. Want to at least hang on to this one for 2 years. Hopefully it won't be a redesign. To be honest this Second Generation is what the First should have been.

You can bet next year will have a redesign. This years is like an Apple Watch S. Rumours earlier this year suggested 20% thinner for next year. I'm sure a search will reveal this.

You mean 2018. The redesign won't likely be until March 2018 if the 18 month cycle follows pursuit. Apple will defintely make it thinner. But I appreciate the heft of the stainless models I own.

It varies but there are few color choices anymore. Worried they might discontinue. I have black, storm grey and I think it is called smoke grey.

Looking on Apple's Mobile application, I only see two options for the Leather loop band. Wonder what the issue is.

Yeah, I can't find the black leather loop in the UK... The midnight blue looks ok, but I'm wanting a black really.

No, I mean Sept 2017 as rumours suggest. The current design and features won't carry it through to then (2018) without a major drop in sales. Apple will want to claim a higher percentage of the market, judging by figures released this week. My money is on 2017.

I wouldn't mind a refresh in September 2017. But I disagree. Consumer exhaustion has to be considered a factor as well. And given Apple's time line, March 2018 seems more fitting. Unless it's reported September 2017 for a tentative release, then I don't foresee this happening.

Where can we buy a black leather loop now???

Not sure, I bought mine at BB about a month ago. It was in stock, so I did not realize they were hard to get. o_O

I am an avid runner who uses the Workout App on my Watch 3-4 times a week. I do not carry my phone, so the GPS was a perfect addition for me. I also swim on a regular basis during the summer and now, I will not have to remove my Watch like I did previously.

The final reason for me was the larger battery on the S2. With my AW S0, I was barely able to get a full day when I used the Workout App (without HR data) to run in the morning. With the S2, I am getting a full two days even though I am using the Watches GPS and HR monitoring during my Workout App runs.

For my use cases, the AW S2 was a great update and I do not regret the decision to get the SB SS model.

Anyone own the $550 Apple Space Black Link bracelet???

I have it and it looks AMAZING in outdoor light. It basically screams 'this is a bad-ass watch'. It's actually brushed

Also it's really light/comfortable, and picks up your body heat super fast

Love mine too. I wear the band about 95% of the time. Sport band only gets used for working out and then the link goes back on

I have both 42mm SBSS with Sport band and 38mm SBSS with Apple Link bracelet and I am loving the 38mm with link. It has a completely different look and feel - very sharp yet professional and sleek.

You bought the original Apple one? Have you tried a cheaper third party one?

That Space Black Stainless looks amazing. Glad I picked it up. Now to keep the dust and fingerprints away!

750 in Canada lol... you could literally buy almost 3 basic sport Apple Watches for that amount. It's ridiculous.

So the answer is no.
Expensive, yes.. but does it need to be exaggerated that much? The cheapest Apple Watch in Canada is $360. That is not literally almost 3
