Anyone know the correlation from getting charged and moved to preparing for shipping and the delivery date? Should mine be here tomorrow or the next day?

Confirmation 45 seconds before you. Same location. Hoping to see the update!!

Is Apple's status changes done when a plane lands? The hub my watch would arrive to is Louisville, so when another plane lands in Louisville, is that when i should expect the possibility of a change or is it random?

I've seen nothing that relates the planes landing to the charges. The string of charges last night was while most flights were still 2 hours away.

It could be that they are charged when the product leaves the factory in China. I cannot know for sure. The lag time from charge to delivery seems to match up with the in transit time from China.

Charged! Must have been just before midnight last night. Preparing for shipment, no tracking yet.

My original delivery dates were May 13-May 27. Should I expect it sometime this week then if I was charged?

Thanks! I'm not quite awake yet, but as part of the OG SG crowd this feels like it's been forever. Hopefully it means good things for the other long timers. ;)

Yeah, we both barely missed the window for launch day delivery but didn't have to wait to much longer.

If they charged you then your should change to preparing to ship soon unless they are charging people more in advance now.

Seems like I'm one of the only guys waiting for the status change. Everyone else saw the change after getting charged......... Charged at 10pm CST, it failed, used a different card at 10:15pm CST and it was charged. Not sure what's going on

Regarding the watch being anti-climactic, I had that feeling for the first four hours or so with my 38 mm. There's just a steeper learning curve than you expect to happen. By day two or three you're relying on the watch a surprising amount, especially if you already make good use of the apple ecosystem.

Does the order status only change at certain times? For instance it's 830est now if my order status hasn't changed by now it won't until tomorrow?

I couldn't agreee more

You guys both already have the watch and are disappointed? I've played with my wife's watch and really like it. She likes it even more then she thought she would but I know it isn't for everyone. You could probably sell the watch at a good margin even used at this point.

Yeah, I wouldn't pay them too much mind. I'm only about 10% conscious this early in the morning, have never worn a watch before, and yet the apple watch is already on my wrist. I don't even know where my phone is right now.

Ok I'm awake now and can provide more details.

I checked my order at 2am EST and the status was 'Update Payment Details'. Apparently my credit card details were incorrect. So I clicked on the button and provided my CC details. A minute later, I saw three charges go through - for the full price of the watch + AppleCare.

My order then switched back to 'Processing', and the charges are no longer on my card. It's been 6 hours since then and my order is still processing.

So question is - how long does it usually take between the CC charge and the switch to 'Preparing for Shipment'? I was under the impression it was ~30 minutes.

I'm concerned that the CC issue caused my order to get bumped further down the line.

Any insight would be appreciated :)
